I find I'm so excited that I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it's the excitement only a football fan can feel. A football fan at a start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain.

even in my most aggressively passionate football fan years, which have long passed, i never gave a shit about august in the NFL. boring, lazy games that take forever and rarely give me any enjoyment. it's still summer mode for me.

A local station had the Packer’s family day practice on TV the other night, I think it was one of those MeTV sub stations or whatever. I’m just not that much of a football deviant I guess, decided to spend time with the family instead.

First officials association meeting of the year last night, going over high school rules changes for the year with first scrimmage this weekend and a few more. Favorite point of the summer, while school may be beginning...so is football. Not pro, but Friday Night Lights is fun.
