They pinch hit for him in the b6 and added on 5 runs. Up 8-1 and he qualifies for the win!!!!! Heck of a debut for the Toukster.

The Cubs and Cardinals may have put an end to the Nationals season. Grand slam to beat them last night in the 9th. Carpenter hits a 3 run HR in the 8th tonight to give Cards the lead going to the 9th. No idea why in the world you would pitch to Carp in that situation.

ok maybe not. Nats tie it in the 9th and have runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out.

 Cardinals walk off HR to win it in the bottom of 9th.

Crazy game. I think it is safe to say that it is not the Nats year

Their pitching stinks. That lineup is really good. I think they white flagged the year already anyway

The lineup is great but it's just NOW great. Harper had a weird first half, Murphy was out and Rendon was hurt.

I still think they have a shot despite this week. They have a ton of games left against the Phillies and Braves.

Robbie Cano got reinstated today and it will be interesting to see how Seattle uses him. They say he could play 1B or 3B. Uh huh. They’re in a dogfight for that lady wild card spot so i’m sure he’ll settle in back at 2B and hiring 3rd sooner rather than later.

Thome and Casey are about to do a best load in baseball segment. I'm sure they'll say Harper, Betts, Martinez, Votto, etc. but the best load in baseball is by faaaaaaar is Miggy. He gets in the best hitting position of any player in the modern era.

And you called it with this kid what, four years ago when he'd only been playing in his third or fourth year?

Holy crap the Mets scored 24 runs in the first game of a dh against the Phillies. Watch them get shutout in game 2.

Run support!

The @Mets have scored 40 runs in their last 2 games.

They have scored 32 runs in the last 9 @JdeGrom19 starts.

Ha

Jacob Nix is pitching for the Padres on MLB Network. He's the guy that got caught up in the Brady Aiken/Houston Astros clusterfuck. He was drafted in the 5th round but they voided his deal when they also voided Aiken's deal. He sat out a year and was drafted by the Padres in the 3rd round. Good to see he made it to the Bigs though he's getting slapped around by the D'Bags.

What the absolute fuck did the Padres just do. They’re down 5-0 in the b1!!!!! The lead off hitter hit a double and the 2 hitter bunted him over to 3rd. You gotta be shittin me. A HS tram wouldn’t even do that.

The 3rd hitter k’d and the 4 hitter popped up. That’s a fuckin joke. That manager should be fired.

Not looking like Seattle's going to make it, but Cano is not eligible for the post-season. Maybe Cano's bat back in the lineup will put them back in the wild card driver's seat.

JD Martinez credits batting behind Cabrera for a few years in Detroit with sorting out his stance/swing.

A's up 5 to 0 on Houston in the 6th. Could be a tie division race

Half the Astros roster is on the DL. I saw Rondon blew it in the 9th last night. Still think when the Astros are healthy they'll run away w/ the division.

But the A's are really good. They have more wins than any NL team.

The Nats are having a fire sale. Murphy and Adams are out. Who’s next. Gio?? Bryce?? That would be unbelievable.

Now there's a report the Dodgers have claimed Bryce. That would be freakin awesome. Machado and Harper in the same lineup with Kershaw on the mound. Good lord.
