I didn't realize how bad it was until now. Average-ish CB's + a mediocre-if-not-bad pass rush is not a recipe for success.

The CB are better than average. They are certainly in the top 15 but I'd have to look around to rank.

Honestly, they are deeper than they have been in a long time. The roster spot is worth more than any theoretical cap space may be. Aaron Lynch may not make it either, which only makes the need for a pass rusher more desperate.

They really don't have depth at key positions like OLB, OT, RB and QB. If Jordan Howard gets injured, for instance, who is our backup RB? Our starting tackles are pretty bad to begin with, but who do we have to replace them? And the outside pass rushing is just pitiful.

This really is going to hurt watching the game. I watched several games on the week-end and it was like a coin flip by the refs on whether the play was legal or not. Right now is like anytime that they in any way impact the head of the offensive player a flag gets thrown.

I think Cunningham is a fine backup at RB.

I'm a bit annoyed with Pace sitting on 26 million in cap space. To me he's going for the "Long play" assuming Mitch is the goods at QB..even if he is...that's the wrong move. The Seahawks were the most dangerous when Russell Wilson was making peanuts on this rookie deal. That's when you have to be the most aggressive with your roster.

I also am pissed when I look at how shitty our OTs are.

I think CB's or safeties will get hurt because of the uncertainty about how to tackle a RB. We saw Jackson get caught in between thinking and reacting.

What also continues to bother me is the continued failure by the DBs and safeties to look for the ball when it is in the air. Way too many face guarding type pass interference calls for the Bears.
