Sources to ESPN: Raiders and Bears have an agreement in place to trade Khalil Mack to Chicago. Still working through it, but Raiders now planning to send Mack to Chicago.

Wow, huge news! When Pace wants a player, this dude goes all-in. Expecting 2 1st round draft picks and a Donald+ contract. Big balls on Pace, but this defense does look extremely good on paper. Mack is a stud. Bears were lacking that one great pass-rusher and a complement to Floyd. ..

2 1st round picks (and a player + a massive contract) is the asking price - other teams would have likely paid up, but if Mack comes in and plays at the level expected, the Bears defense goes from top 10 to top 5, and potentially elite.

If the trade moves the Bears out of the top 10 and the believe is that Mitch makes the Bears a playoff-caliber team, we're talking about a pick in the #20 range, which seems a lot more manageable than high picks.

Now, it comes down to Mitch.

Biggs is probably more of an insider than the other Chicago reporters. Shows the relationship that the national guys have built with agents vs. the local guys.

I hope Parkins brings that up on the air a few times just to further the "feud" between he and Biggs.

Also, I do wonder if because Biggs didn't think this trade would happen and/or if the Bears would be involved, did that influence his reporting? Not that he would have broken the story though.

Never did understand why some were saying this was too much for the Bears to give up and/or Pace would don't something like this. Pace may end up being a horrible GM, but one thing he clearly is extremely aggressive. So-called "experts" don't understand that.
