I hate to be a party pooper for all White Sox fans, but you won't be seeing either Joe Crede or Juan Uribe much longer, even if the team starts to hit the ball with more efficiency. While Crede has come all the way back from his back injury at third base so far, Sox chairman Jerry Reinsdorf didn't sound optimistic that #24 will continue to play the hot corner on the South Side beyond this season during a chat on the flagship station today, 670 "The SCORE". I believe there is still some bad blood between Jerry & Joe's agent Scott Boras dating back to before Alex Rodriguez signed that ridiculous contract in Texas. As for Uribe, while he has played good defense since shifting back to second base, he is keeping the seat warm for someone we've already forgotten about, #1 Danny Richar. I know he's injured right now, but in limited action last year, Richar didn't look intimidated at the plate and seemed to get better defensively. As soon as he's healthy, Richar will overtake Uribe at second, one way or the other.

I know Sox fans will be crushed to lose Uribe.

I don't think anyone is shocked by either of these "developments".

I thought that the Sox had been trying to move him for awhile? At any rate, I agree with you. I don't know too many Sox fans who would be upset at Uribe being moved.

In other news, the forecast calls for heavy rain and thunderstorms today.
