Packers are trading QB Brett Hundley to the Seattle Seahawks for a 2019 draft pick, per @RobDemovsky and me.

7:04 AM - 29 Aug 2018

In Kizer we trust.

I think Hundley was in the final year of his contract and there was no way he was staying. I think they did a nice job of developing him and now they will try to do the same with Kizer

He developed into an awful QB!!! Boyle is better than both of them and thats why he is making the 53 man roster as well while no one knew who the hell he was before camp.

Hundley is hot garbage. He's had one decent moment, shredding up the Bears last year.

Aaron Rodgers’ new deal is expected to be the largest in NFL history and will tie him to Green Bay for well beyond the two years on his contract and quite likely for the remainder of his career.

That will end the Khalil Mack to Green Bay fantasies.

Looks like Team Player Aaron wanted to go for the record books...crippling his teams cap space. Great job!

It will be funny when they go 1-2 in the playoffs over the course of the $134 million they're spending.

How the hell can they pay 80 mil of it all this year? If they somehow figured that out then the cap may be ok going forward.

Bears only competition for Mack just took themselves out of the running. Come on Nagy, get in there.

Rodgers had 2 years left on his current deal + Packers could've franchise-tagged him twice after that; taking him through his age 39 season. Rodgers making bank pimping for State Farm, no reason to use cap space on a big dollar extension.

Packers probably know the window is shutting and are paying him off.

This actually gives them room for Mack. Get ready for a 1st rd, 4th rd and Randall Cobb trade to the Raiders. Clay is off the books next year too.

I'm not sure about that...that being said, they have no depth after Adams/Cobb..this isn't a few years ago, their lower tier depth receivers are garbage.

They have a stable of TE, Geronimo Allinson, Jake Kumerow and 3 draft picks that show promise. Cobb is a nice safety blanket for Rodgers as he is the only wr that runs a comeback when a play breaks down. I don't mind Cobb but they seem to want to get rid of him.

Graham is their #2, then Cobb, Allison, etc. Barring injury...they'll be fine.

Allison is solid, they brought in a trio of stud rookie WR's, and they have some guy with a mullet that Rodgers likes a lot who made huge plays this preseason. Waves of talent at the WR spot Bobby.

Their cap hit for 2018 is less than $1 million dollars (thus a Mack rental is still possible). Also, the signing bonus ($57.5 million) is spread over 5 years for the cap hit. The $80 million is his new increased salary and signing bonus. It’s all a bit confusing but it’s also not as bad as it might seem from a cap standpoint considering the huge total number.

He's getting $67M this year? I'm pretty sure I just read that.

Most of that is a signing bonus which form a cap hit standpoint is spread over 5 years.

This would be the year for one of those beards to push for a wedding.

He may be wearing the dress. Wisconsin man triggered because the Tribune didn't mention his name. My guess is he accidentally gets a woman pregnant.

I'm surprised the Packers haven't picked up Dez Bryant. Their wide receivers aren't that good outside Adams.

Even Adams always has one foot in door of Aaron Rodgers' doghouse.

Adams is going to terrorize that group of chumps you call a secondary this year

I don't know what all else is going on here in this thread. If the Bears limit Rodgers or anyone to a 3 step drop at best that is a winning situation.

Refresh my memory, please. Just a few months ago, your renowned GM offered how many millions of dollars to one of those "Chumps"?

Yeah, he's an idiot. Glad Pace is an even bigger one.
