I’m sorry, I don’t have Pace’s penis sewn into my throat like you do.

The dude was hired because he could draft. So instead he throws the next two drafts down the shitter bc his previous 3 were league average. Great, the Bears became competent in young talent acquisition.

Woop dee fucking doo. So let’s force a fast forward. This franchise is so fucking delusional.

He threw one draft down the shitter, and its not like he did it for no reason. They got Anthony Miller out of it too.

They have the same number of picks in 2020 as they would have had without the trade, including two in the 2nd. They can move back into the 1st with those two picks or keep them. Their draft position in 2020 is not terrible, especially if the Raiders are really bad.

Aside from 2015 Pace's drafts have probably beaten the league average. Not saying much, but the Bears have done alright in the draft. A ton hinges on (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky who, LET ME GUESS, you think is a bust and a half.

To see them scrambling to come up with reasons why this trade wasn't good for the Bears is hilarious. Vikings and Lions are not taking the same kind of cheerful demeanor in response to the news.

Rodgers now has to get through 1/4th of his season facing off against the Vikings' Griffen/Hunter/Barr/Richardson and the Bears' Mack & crew. I dont think that collarbone of his is gonna make it.

We simply aren't scared of you and haven't been for three decades. What is hard to understand about this?

I've seen a great Bears defense before. It still wasn't enough. Good luck.

We don't care. We have Rodgers and you don't. And you know nothing else matters. I can repost the Rodgers to Cobb gif again if you think this season WILL SOMEHOW BE DIFFERENT THIS TIME CUZ MACK!! lol.

I also accept your apology when you told me I was an idiot for saying a 1st and 3rd isn't close. It wasn't.

I get why you're hyped though. I would be too. I was the one telling you you were wrong when you said it wasn't worth it to pay Mack his earned money. Another apology accepted my man. We'll always have Kopech.

I hope Mack donates a few dollars to Kap so he can remodel that bathroom. God damn that is a shitty early 80's design.

Yea I was off on the compensation. The truth is Mack was the first player of his caliber on the defensive side of the ball to be available in a trade in modern NFL history. And the Bears didn't necessarily give up a pure two firsts worth of value. They moved up from the 3rd to 2nd in 2020 and picked up a 5th too, so they did recoup some of that. It's definitively less than what they gave up in the Cutler deal, and less than what some teams have given up for the rights to simply draft a quarterback.

Green Bay simply does not have the offensive line to keep Rodgers healthy all year. Not against the defenses in this division. You can brag about the Packers' left side all you want but Khalil Mack and Everson Griffen are going to beat Bakhtiari one-on-one. So that leaves the Packers in a position where they have to choose between single teaming them and just hoping for the best or double teaming them and letting everyone else run roughshod over their porous right side. And really the Packers dont even get much of a choice in the matter. If the Bears line Mack up against Bulaga next week the Packers will have absolutely no choice but to double him or he's going to be wreaking havoc.

Last time the Bears had a rush anything like the one they have now Rodgers was a spry 20-something who could slip away and take a hit. He's not the same player anymore. Mack was brought in to put Rodgers down and end his shit once and for all.

The Green Bay starting offensive line is fine. They are a shitshow if any one of those guys other than maybe the center get hurt. They have 2 very good tackles and will line up a TE as an H Back if they need any help.

"very good" is fine if you're most concerned with stopping Leonard Floyd, but against Khalil Mack there's really nobody capable of fulling shutting him down one-on-one. He's getting in the backfield. Maybe not getting sacks every game but he's a terror and there's nothing individually any one player can do to stop him.

On top of that the Bears have some really nice situational rushers in their rotation and Floyd/Hicks/Goldman are going to do quite a bit in their own right. The Packers are obviously going to have to be keeping 6 or 7 in protection most downs, but that's good for the Bears as the more you force the Bears to dig into their secondary depth the weaker they get. You really dont want more than 5 DB's on the field if you're a Bears fan. Callahan and that's it. And if the Packers are keeping a TE, 6th offensive lineman and/or H-Back in protection the Bears will not need to be bringing in a bunch of DB's to cover all of Rodgers' options. The Bears can handle 3 or fewer WR with the secondary players they have.

By the way, Trevathan and Mack are both very good in pass coverage. Roquan figures to be too. Teams who have tried to sneak runningbacks into the flat against Mack have paid dearly.

All of that is wrong. We have Rodgers and you don't. Nothing else matters. Maybe you finally split with us in the regular season while losing the division by 3 games. Best case scenario as usual for you guys.

Of course there is. His name is Aaron Rodgers. He will simply elude Mack like he does to even the most ferocious defenders while he lobs a pass over the head of Fuller to seal the division in Week 15. We know how this movie ends. We've seen it before. It's just recast with different actors except the only one that matters.

Aaron Rodgers is great until the day that he isn't. You, nor I, have any idea when that day is. But its definitely coming. He's not Brady, he's not doing this into his 40's.

Adding players like Mack to the list of opponents he must contend with does a lot to hasten that days arrival.

Aaron Rodgers is 34 and redshirted for three years. You're only lying to yourself if you think he's close to done. And Mack isn't close to good enough to stop him. Your team payed a non-QB like a star QB and it's still Mitch is good or you can't beat us. No way around that. It's gonna be a long few years probably(we'll say a long decade and a half, 2006 was a generation ago.)

Its a new team. They turned over a giant chunk of the roster and brought in an almost entirely new offensive and special teams coaching staff. "same ol Bears, same ol suck" is the kind of hick wisdom you'll find in a Wausau dive bar. There was a time Bears fans could've said the exact same thing about the Packers a generation ago. Times change. The longest tenured player currently on the Bears roster is Sherrick McManus, these guys do not give a shit what happened under Lovie Smith or Marc Trestman. Most of the team's best players never even dealt with John Fox.

Meanwhile Rodgers has been trying to carry a bum roster as far as he can with less-and-less overall success as the years have gone on. Now he has to do it with the best edge player in the NFL terrorizing him.

Doesn't really matter what the Bear players mentality is. They aren't as a collective skilled enough to top Rodgers. I think by the end of this season you'll finally concede that and admit you just need Rodgers to get hurt for good and retire before it's actually a "rivalry" again

They very clearly are talented enough to kick the shit out of Rodgers. You're about to find out next weekend how imminently possible such a scenario is.

You can tell how worried Packers fan are because of how desperately the entire halfwit fanbase and drooling media arm is trying to spin this. They sense what's coming here.

Nobody's spinning anything. I already beat you to the "Mack is a world wrecker and deserves to be paid like one" wagon. Two weeks ago you were trying to tell me it wasn't worth it to pay him. I've always been consistent.

You didn't believe me then and you don't believe me now but it doesn't matter how good he is. Your team isn't good enough to beat mine still. Good luck though, this season should be fun.

The Packers have one of the shittiest rosters in the NFL. I know you're just going to keep doing this "lalala none of that matters rodgers rodgers rodgers" bit but you know that eventually the clock runs out on it eventually. You dont even know that it hasn't already.

The Packers just paid a QB who will be 35 before this season is over and is coming off a season ending injury (that he has suffered for the second time in his NFL career...) more than any player in history. On what? The prayer that he can do this for as long as Brady has? There's nothing Packers fans hate hearing more than the harsh reality that Rodgers is A Great QB, not The Great QB. He is in an esteemed club but hardly the only member. Many teams have beaten him these last 8 years. Some of them are less talented than the roster the Bears currently have.

How selfish is Rodgers that he took the money instead of allowing Green Bay to put a better team around him. Looks like Bennett was right about him.

Almost everyone is overlooking how bizarre this contract impasse was and how easily it became a distraction. Does Aaron Rodgers really need more money? This isn't a situation like Leveon Bell or Khalil Mack where its a guy trying to get THAT contract that sets him for life. Rodgers has that money already. What's State Farm paying him to do those adverts?

The guy has disowned his entire family.
He has no kids.
He has no friends.
His "girlfriends" are all loaded in their own right.

Aaron Rodgers has issues. I suspect it has a lot to do with his sexuality. Did he really just fuck over the Packers cap flexibility the next 3 years because he wanted the title of highest paid player in NFL history for a year, maybe two?

He's a diva who doesn't care about his teammates. The guys in the locker room who will likely be cut for his selfishness are already talking about it.

They are usually less than fine on anything but paper. Remember the years when Rogers was getting just as killed as Cutler despite having a much better line, and that was yet another reason to hate Cutler? It's a numbers game. No O-line in the league that will go into a gameplan not knowing they are fundmentally fucked and will just try to regulate the loss of blood.

And he's no slouch in the run game, either. There is no more complete outside linebacker-hybrid DE in the NFL. Despite this being the era of guys similar, he is actually further revolutionizing that because of his frame and physical ability. This is the guy you create in the lab to be fill that role. He's longer and stronger than Von Miller. And when he has played outside there has not been a more dominant OLB since LT, who created the position. Legit physical freak. Not as obvious as Peppers but somehow more impactful. A stronger player. He will hit a wall and go through it. Violence of action. Peppers was a different kind of freak and it was beautiful to watch even in his later years.

And as much as I hate to admit it, Parkins is correct. This current NFL reality is one of trying to win with a rookie QB contract and a line that can effectively and consistantly pressure the opposing QB. You can win with different recipes but those teams are quickly dying off. Hello Packers. The new recipe is just what the Bears did. And they did it without the risk and luck in the draft. The odds of even a blue chip prospect being this guy at age 27 is infinitesimally small.

He has more MVP awards and the same number of Super Bowl MVP Awards and Lombardi Trophies as the entire Bears organization......but he sucks and some guy with 11 sacks on the 23rd ranked defense last year is going to alter the entire history of the league as we know it.

Oh ok so I'll go dig up Peyton Manning and have him corpse around behind center for the Bears and that'll even the odds? The past is the past. Great job back in 2010 Aaron Rodgers! You sure showed that Bears team...that is literally all retired and out of the league now...how good you were.

Were.

It doesn't matter. We have Rodgers and you don't. That's the Trump card. You sound like a whiny liberal telling me why it will be different in 2020. Keep providing the entertainment though. I love this. I legit started being down on the NFL during the Mel Tucker years where it was 49-0 at halftime and civility was the only thing preventing GB from breaking the Bears own 1940 NFL single game record against them. I want this to be a fun a rivalry again. 2009-2010 is really the only two year period where the Bears were on GB's level in my entire lifetime and it didn't feel like a fluke. Nobody believed 2001 was special except Mike Brown.

The Vikings are clowns and will never win a SB ever and they still present a bigger threat than the Beloved do.
