I did not realize that was such an old song. I first heard that only about 5 years ago passing through the International terminal at O'Hare. I asked my traveling companion what she made of the song where they were singing about douche. She had not heard of the song either but also thought they were singing about douche. Then we found out the song was 40 some-odd years old.

I have this song as my alarm music on my phone and basically live my life according it's uplifting, motivating message.
Or at least I try.

Lovely Day by Bill Withers. But I could not admit that to his remarkably hot niece

The AmFam commercial didn't ruin it for you?

No, because I immediately ptfb when I heard it. Plus, Jennifer Hudson gives me a remarkably quick trigger finger.

Not sure how to interpret that Hudson point.

How about Deep Stone Lullaby. Yeah yeah it's video game music but it's really damn good.
You guys know I'm a rock and blues guy, and this is outside what I normally pine over but give me a chance.
So this was composed for the creators infant son as a lullaby originally, at least the major notes and changes. The idea behind this short piece is about falling into sleep, dreaming, and after the crescendo around the 2:40 mark, awakening. The rejoin at 2:45 is very similar to the opening but different a little, implying that the dream has changed you.
The music for this game is largely amazing. If you were to stumble upon it you'd never suspect you were listening to gamer music.
I could listen to this song on repeat for hours, and that's why I mention it here.
Anyhow give it a listen before you put me on blast.

I cannot stand Jennifer Hudson. Half the time she's just screaming, trying to be a minor league Patti LaBelle.

For something newer, "Nobody but You" by Algebra Blessett, and the Postmodern Jukebox cover of "Maps" led by Morgan James.

Also, "Mighty Love" by the Spinners, "Weak" by SWV, and "Pieces" by Hil St. Soul. And pretty much anything with Tammi Terrell and Marvin Gaye as a duet.

Most Disturbed.

Pantera - Mouth for War.

Really any Pink Floyd, although, I am probably gonna make people's head roll, any post break-up (I.E. Dave Gilmour) Pink Floyd is hitting my groove. Particularly stuff off the Division Bell.

Two more by her- Open Your Heart and Holiday.

Really enjoying mid-80s Madonna music right now.
