Who cares about the past. Nobody, the only ones who can brag are Eagles fans and of course Patriots fans (because they're always so good it's whatever). Do not @ me with all this nonsense about who has had a better 30 years or whatever.

Reality:
Bears > Packers
Both from a future football standpoint
And a lifestyle standpoint

To be a Bears fan is to be a down-to-earth yet intellectual and curious renaissance man. It is a noble, yet grounded experience.

To be a Packers fan is to wallow in the dirt making things out mud and sneering menacingly at those mysterious shining tubes flying across the sky.

Yeah. You've seen one more title than I have. The Bears have started approximately 97 different QB's since Super Bowl XX. The Packers have had two of the best QB's ever to play over the last 20 years. Rex Grossman, Trent Dilfer, and Joe Flacco have played in as many Super Bowls as Aaron Rodgers has.

Sorry man, but you have never seen a Bears SB win in your life. I have seen two Packers wins, which would be two more. You were what, like 3 years old in 1985?

The rest of your post is irrelevant, especially for a Bears fan.

It's not irrelevant. It does a good job of pointing out how good our QB situation has been for the better part of 25 years, how horrid the Bears has been in the same time frame. Not sure why that would make us feel bad though. Starting each season as a Super Bowl contender and winning lots of games is kind of fun.

Right. I said as much.

Because people are going to look back and say, "They had Favre and Rodgers. How did they only manage to win two?"

Honestly we should focus on our similarities and not our differences. Like at the end of the day both Packers fans and Bears fans can't wait to get home to Packers fans' wives.

Giants don't qualify either. Broncos do on a technicality, but ironically, Manning was one of the very worst QB's in the league that season and their defense led them to a win over the MVP of the league, Cam Newton, further evidence that it's ridiculous to expect a QB to win a title on his own. This isn't the NBA. I shouldn't have to explain how football works to gentlemen such as yourselves.

So that's just the Cowboys and 49ers then. Cool.

The Giants won more than 2 titles in 30 years with HoF QB's who were inferior to Favre and that other guy.

You don't live in New York. You shouldn't be buying into the fiction that Eli is a HOFer.

Mostly because his last name is Manning. He belongs in the Joe Namath wing...

Nope.

And beating Brady twice just reinforces what I've been telling you - teams win SBs, not QBs.

Yep. Teams that have multiple HoF QB's usually win more than 2 titles in 30 years.

No they don't. The 49ers are literally the only example in NFL history.

Cowboys
Steelers

Should I continue?

Steelers don't qualify, and Cowboys barely do.

I don't think you can continue, but please do if you can.

Steelers qualify.

SuperBowl wins in 74,75,78,79 with Bradshaw; Big Ben in 2005, 08.

4 wins in 30 years, 6 in 44yrs

I think the game comes down to field goals late.

Don't know about our guy, though. The first attempt from 50 in pre-season was not encouraging.

For those that said Gould was done last year, his field goal percent was only 95% for the season versus 87% career avg. He made four from plus 50.

Dumbest mistake by the Bears ever to have gotten rid of Gould. Could really use him against GB.

IF the game comes down to a FG the Bears don't have a chance unless it's inside 40 yards.

Seems like a pretty big concern for a team that wants to win with defense.

The good news is that the defense is scoring points on takeaways. Haven't seen that since Urlacher's days.

It's probably the biggest hole on the team.

The kicker thing could be a huge issue. Ignoring that position cost the Chargers the playoffs last year.

Overall their special teams are pretty bad. O'Donnell is only on the team because the guy brought into replace him was a dud. I'm not a huge fan of Cohen as punt returner, he goes backwards a lot. Works sometimes but I hate when guys who aren't Hester do that. Hopefully their coverage units are good. Losing Jonathan Anderson hurts, but hopefully that 4th round pick is at least valuable in that regard. They are really gonna wish they didn't waste that selection the way they did.

Me? He would have to be pretty bad. Someone who doesn't create Cutler-esque turnovers on a weekly basis is already headed in the right direction.
