The team responded Wednesday night noting Reddick has worn the ripped shirt as far back as July, long before Nike released the ad. Reddick also wears New Balance gear.

Ok. That part was not included obviously.

Ok. That part was not included obviously.

And the myopic NFL would've been fining his ass since July and causing themselves more headaches.

Nike needs to get into esports. K-Swiss coming out with sneakers marketed for esports. I think you'd need to expand into the hardware segment to really establish a large footprint in esports. $200 keyboards and mice. Maybe a Nike branded kevlar vest.

You know I've yet to find a really great mouse that fits with my hand. The deathadder is pretty good, great tracking and the side buttons fit well with my thumb, but still doesn't sit perfectly in my hand. I would like to ascend to masters in Overwatch but I'm not willing to buy $1000 worth of mice to see which one I like.

Move this thread to the Douchebag section. They just ended Zion Williamson's college career

I guess we know he isn't going to be signing with Nike when he goes pro.

How does the shoe explode like that? It's like he's Hulking out of his shoes or something.

This asshole has now shamed Nike into canceling a shoe with the Betsy Ross/Revolution flag, because it comes from an “era of slavery.”

Kaepernick. It was supposed to be a 4th of July special.

People: how dare he not respect the flag by kneeling during the National Anthem!

Same people: how dare he speak out about Nike making a flag you literally walk around on!

If that were his reason for not liking the shoe I'd agree with him. His reason because it's offensive is insulting. Who finds a fucking flag from our country offensive?

It's disrespectful to the flag if you do not kneel during the National Anthem. It's NOT disrespectful to the flag if you strap on a shoe with the flag printed on it to your foot and stomp around in some dog shit.

It's not offensive like the stars and bars,, but I can't imagine it being a big seller.

But I'm of the last generation that was taught that wearing the flag was offensive unless it's on a military uniform, and placed correctly.

I agree. Would he be saying the same thing if it was our current flag because it's offensive? I think he would. That's wrong.

Nike just figuratively gave Trump the largest corporate donation his 2020 campaign will receive.

This story is just red meat for the base to eat up.

This story really makes no sense.

Why would you put an old flag like that so haphazardly onto a shoe? Is Nike going after the flag enthusiast market now?

Why would Kaepernick even know about it? Is he sitting at design meetings now? Is he somehow handling the stocking of stores?

Why was that specific flag chosen? It seems to have been a 4th of July themed shoe, but the Betsy Ross flag first known usage was in 1792.

This looks like a political stunt by Nike to get some attention while only alienating people that already have no interest in Nikes because they buy their shoes at Costco.

It is pretty dumb though by Nike but I think it is becoming clear that even I am no longer the target demographic they are going after and I pretty much wear Nikes exclusively but I'm not the kind of dope who waits in line at Foot Locker to get the Kyrie Irving Max Strike Force Air Raid Bomber III's for $180 to then put into my closet and show my friends how great my shoe collection is until one day the shoes start to rip apart spontaneously because they don't design these shoes to last 100 years stored in a closet so they can be sold on ebay like they are the male version of Beanie Babies.

Nah, this story will be forgotten by July 5th.
