I think it's pretty clear Crawford is dealing with major concussion issues. It wasn't the 1st time he missed games for them and he got his bell rung when Geno ran him over. he stayed in that game and kept playing until Christmas break with it.

Crawford missed extended time before for concussions and they never would acknowledge that was the reason. Him missing the last month of the 15-16 season sticks out as an example. Ditto with Toews last season, we know he missed the end of it because of a concussion, but they never acknowledged that as the reason.
