McDonough said that Crawford "should be ready to go."

After being spoiled with 3 cups...it's really difficult to show interest in a team you know will be bad.

I have no grand expectations this season, but they very well could (and should) bounce back enough to at least make the playoffs. Besides the Crawford issues, Saad needs to get back to form after an abysmal season. As for Toews? Well, if he shits the bed again, I think we can all agree that he is just plain done.

How many years of rehab does he need?

Obviously isn't rehab all this time. Turns out they found out he threw the Preds 1st round sweep year before last and was suspended until this upcoming season.

They won't say what it is, and they refuse to use the LTIL so that they do not have to disclose what it is. That is why, I think it is substance abuse of some sort.

if it were substance abuse, some rat shit reporter would've sniffed it out and released it. they wouldn't keep a story like that under wraps. especially a 670 guy

Probably is just a boring old concussion after all, yeah. And I agree, never underestimate the Score's desire to take down the Blackhawks.

Brilliant point, most addiction issues are cleared up in 3-5 days.

If it were substance abuse he would be able to work by now and if he was that bad he would just have a josh hamilton life coach with him 24-7. I hope this isn't like the situation with Bickell where he gets all kinds of shit for looking bad and then not playing only to find out he has a life altering condition.

Uh, an addiction issue is a life altering condition.

I am seriously considering the NHL package for the first time since I don't want my main source of hockey to be the Blackhawks. And we all know that the major market American teams are the ones that get played over and over again on NBC Sports.

Don’t be silly. As you point out being an addict or alcoholic can be a lifelong endeavor to maintain a better life initially treatment isn’t normally a year or half a year.

I think it's pretty clear Crawford is dealing with major concussion issues. It wasn't the 1st time he missed games for them and he got his bell rung when Geno ran him over. he stayed in that game and kept playing until Christmas break with it.

The Blackhawks are being quiet because their spotters and training staff fucked up. Seriously, how did Crow stay in the game after this and continue playing?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lN5jt2eiV-c

He played an entire month after this, probably concussed the entire time.

Who knows? I will say one thing is clear from the last few years, Stan isn't the cap genius people say he is.

This is why I do not think it is a concussion. If it were, they would say that and use that list.

Konroyd specifically mentioned the Malkin hit back when he was interviewed on the Score.

Crawford missed extended time before for concussions and they never would acknowledge that was the reason. Him missing the last month of the 15-16 season sticks out as an example. Ditto with Toews last season, we know he missed the end of it because of a concussion, but they never acknowledged that as the reason.

Hawks are no longer using upper/lower body and are now disclosing injuries.

Also, they just officially did disclose what we all know about Crow. Concussion and he still has symptoms

The Bears better offer us something because it is going to be tough sledding for the Hawks.

The fuck didn't they use LTIR for then!! I mean they were shit last year and maybe there was no point in freeing up a few dollars to suck slightly less.

My only guess is the possibility that any day Crawford could have come in and said I am fine and passed lets go.

Crow also acknowledged he suffered the concussion prior to the Christmas break, was playing with it for some time, and it got worse to the point he had to sit out. Anyone want to wager a bet that the concussion came from being run over by Malkin?

I thought so while at the game. But then he played after so I was unsure.

What if it's a combination of concussion and substance issues?
