You don't get to claim any moral victories when you hand over a game as badly as they did.

Mitch still can't read coverage and gets happy feet in the pocket even under minor pressure.

He's Rex Grossman without the injuries.

Yes, was thinking this on the drive to work. We just mortgaged the franchise to Rex Grossman 2.0

Stop with the "he is developing into something special crap" How did P.Mahomes do yesterday? or Watson last year? Both of them could have been drafted without trading up for the next Grossman. Why is their development light years ahead of Mitch?

Prior to Sunday night, teams that held a 20-0 lead at any point in a game were 98-2 in those games since 1990. The Bears made it 98-3.

At least they’ll have a better first round pick next year!

At least this rebuild is not as bad as the White Sox rebuild.

The Bears were up 17 points in the 4th quarter. I would call that 3 quarters of good football.

The offense had multiple long drives and scored on their first possession in both halfs. I don't know the last time that has happened.

Kizer gifted them 7 of those points. Good football would have been to deliver the knock out punch while Rodgers was down. They did not do that and he got off the ropes and delivered 3 punches that would have made M.Tyson proud.

He ran it in. Your QB needs to be able to pass the ball in the end zone.

Getting in the endzone is key. Doesn't matter how it happens.

This isn't a team that many predicted to win more than 7 games. They are still learning. This is great experience.

Callahan was exceptional yesterday in nickel coverage with his tackling.

What is the moral victory anyway? That you had 1 quarter of good football when you had the element of surprise on your side and weeks to come up with the your scripted game plan? An offensive game plan that failed horrible after the other side made adjustments and schemed for your offense?

Moral victory that the guy you paid over 150M to is actually pretty good? What moral fucking victory???? You LOST after being up 20 points at half time to a QB with ONE FUCKING LEG!

I don't want to hear about how great the front 7 is. Rodgers launch point never changed in the second half and they couldn't get there. It wasn't like the Packers were keeping guys in to block either.

The millisecond Rodgers came back in I knew the Bears would lose the game.

This team is a fucking joke.

The start of the 3rd quarter it was clear the Bears were going to let them back into the game. They went scared football and it was blatantly obvious.

Mitch proved he's not Jay Cutler. That doesn't mean he looked good. His 2nd half was unimpressive. He didn't have much help, but again....hie had plenty of passes that were way off.

I'm encouraged that Mitch....while under pressure...did not tun over the ball.
I'm encouraged that Mack is a beast.
I'm encouraged we have a good running game.

I'm discouraged because our offense has a LONG way to go. That 2nd half of offense couldn't score dick.
I'm discouraged because our defense laid down the entire 2nd half end let a supposedly hurt QB have a field day. No pressure. No tackling. No coverage on receivers. Bad bad bad defending.
I'm discouraged that a head coach who is considered by many to be a bad Head coach was able to use the halftime break to make adjustments and shove the football straight up Nagy and Fangio's asses.
I'm discouraged because even in the 1st half of dominance, unnecessary timeouts were taken / wasted.
I'm discouraged because our coaching staff cannot properly manage 3rd and 1.
I'm discouraged because not many of our receivers have the ability to get open.

Ok, so do fumbles fall under “protecting the ball”? Twice yesterday and a ton last year. Also his pressure avoiding feet resulted in 4 sacks...the same total as the unstoppable Bears D got on the Packers.

He avoided MANY more sacks. No one who watched the game would question his ability to escape pressure.

I hate the Packers. Losing to them sucks more than losing to any other team. I was asked before the game what I really thought would happen. I said the Bears would lose 24-20. I said I couldn't see (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky winning a close game in Green Bay this early in the season. Despite blowing a 20 point lead to the Packers I was encouraged by what I saw. They're ahead of where I thought they would be early in the season.

Um, who were his "coaches" last season? Something tells me that Nagy knows a shitload more about development of a professional quarterback than the two bozos that the BEars had last year for him. Am I wrong?
