I completely agree.

Now that I am completely over the heart break and emotional let down that was the game it is ok. The disappointment is big thinking we had GB and Rodgers where we wanted them. But we are not yet a championship team but a promising building team. These sorts of losses should be expected. Not really surprised as it was first game as well.

losing a 20 point lead at halftime almost never happens

McClaskey's will have to sell in the next few years, hopefully.

Yep that is why they are a growing team. Must finish drives with points. Eliminate mistakes. Call plays better.

That's how I gauge it. Got to say I was very pissed but they clearly did show improvement on both sides of the ball in that game. In another area of possible improvement that wasn't mentioned was the offensive line. They looked better as a unit than last year's version. Very few stupid penalties as compared to last year. Lets see if that continues into the season.

Three players made the All-PFF Week One team:

Jordan Howard
Jordan may not have led the NFL in yards or touchdowns this week, but he was consistently impressive in the loss to the Packers. From 15 carries, he forced three missed tackles and averaged 3.9 yards after contact per attempt.

Kyle Long
Long allowed two total pressures from 46 pass-blocking snaps and was solid as a run blocker. While two pressures allowed means he wasn’t perfect in pass protection, he still produced the eighth-highest pass-blocking grade among guards this week.

Khalil Mack
The third member of the Bears to make this week’s Team of the Week, Mack was dominant in his debut, particularly in the first half. On the field for 32 pass-rushing snaps in the game, he racked up a sack and five hurries. He also had a forced fumble on one of those sacks and returned an interception for a touchdown.

Im encouraged after seeing how bad others teams are. The Bears are a decent team. Its not like they lost to a bad team at home.

The only thing to really be encouraged about is the Mack trade looking good right away, and Roquan Smith looking like he can play in the very limited time we got to see him. And Hicks is still playing good football too.

I’m discouraged by almost everything else I saw. Especially the coaching on both sides of the ball. Blowing a 20 point lead in a game opener will do that. As I’ve said before, the Bears have to show me at this point, I’m done with optimism and all that sort of shit till this team proves they’re legit improving. And I did not see legit improvement by this team playcalling wise. We just saw really good players make great plays in the 1st half. Which I feel they’d find a way to do despite the play calling.

Roy Robertson-Harris seems to be developing into a big-time player. He's much better than Bullard, another bad early-round pick by Pace.

I agree. I gotta ask, though, about where in the hell Floyd and Goldman were in that game? Floyd looked like he was lost out there.

I saw Goldman but Floyd looked like he couldn't shed a block.
