Break it down
Hour-by-hour breakdowns (men 25-54) in the ratings battle between WSCR-AM 670 and WMVP-AM 1000 revealed:
• ESPN 1000's "Mike & Mike in the Morning" beat Mike North, 4.5 to 3.7, from 6-9 a.m.
• ESPN 1000's afternoon "Mac, Jurko & Harry" retained its lead on "Boers and Bernstein," 4.8 to 4.4.
• The Score's "Mully and Hanley" earned a stunning 5.6 to beat "Waddle & Silvy," which posted a 3.5 from 10 a.m.-noon.
Still, MVP officials noted that "Waddle & Silvy" weren't far behind North in their lone head-to-head hour (4.0 to 3.6) and improved from a 2.9 in the fall to a 3.6 in the winter.
Score officials, by the way, said they weren't bothered by the Blackhawks' decision to move their broadcasts from their station to WGN-AM 720.
