Everybody said the number one reason why Crede is better than Josh Fields is his glovework.

Guess what gang....

The beloved Mr. Crede is tied for 3rd in the entire league in errors with 6 errors

I know, but he's still much better than Fields. I think half of the errors have been on throws. He's still made a handful of great plays this year that Fields would never make.

Yeah, it sucks Crede has 6 errors. But he'll still make the spectacular plays that most 3rd basemen can't. He could also go another month without making another error.

Fields would miss some plays that wouldn't be ruled an error but it would be a great play that Crede would make. You have to understand that.

If indeed they want to retain Crede beyond this season, then Thome is the guy who's gonna be gone after this season.

Then they can move Konks or Dye to DH, and play Swisher in RF and/or Fields or Swisher at 1st.

Well I think the option gets guaranteed if he gets 564 PAs this season (1100 total in 07-08). He had 536 last year in 130 games so if he stays healthy he might reach that. Obviously there's a good chance he won't stay healthy and if they're out of it late I'd think the Sox would sit him if he gets close so it's a safe bet he won't, but possible.

Repeat that one more time slowly.
