First 2 games in this series the defense cost us. The 3rd game was a bad call.

Still, we didn't use the bullpen for the Buehrle and Contreras starts. Danks wasn't great but he didn't get lit up either.

Pitching has been great all year. It's amazing we don't have a better record with our starting pitching this year.

Buehrle is 1-3 and could easily be 3-1. Danks, Floyd, Vazquez, and Jose should have more wins as well.

This sucks. The worst type of losing is when you get good starting pitching.

Remarkably, we're still alone in 2nd place. 1/2 game out of first. Not bad for this tail spin we've been in. It's certainly not panic time. Not with the way our pitching has been.

Cleveland and Minnesota both lost today. Christ. This division is bunched with all 5 teams around .500.

Im not feeling good about this season at all. I think the Tigers are who we thought they were and will win 90+ games. The starting pitching looks better then last season, so maybe that gets us 5-10 more wins. There are too many holes in the lineup and we really need a leadoff hitter and 2nd baseman. Why havent we been on the phone with McPhail? Nothing left to offer?

What would the Sox have to offer? They would have to offer young good prospects, and from what I can tell all those guys are currently on the 25-man roster. With that being said, you'd have to gut the team to make up one position. That doesn't make you any better than where you started.

Beardown, your posts read like a Bill Plaschke column. I'll let you decide whether or not that's a good thing.

I spoke too soon. Twins came back from 5 down to beat the Tigers. So we're 1.5 games out of first.

I never read Bill Plaschke. So I wouldn't know how to take that.

I feel the Sox are like a house of cards just ready to crash. Everyone associated with the organization knows it but they just don't want to admit it.

The pitching will soon get the mindset that they have to be perfect to win. They will break down as well.
