I was once talking to a friend of mine who had a kid. He asked me for fun what do you think the kid will grow up to be.

I said engineer. He got pissed off and walked away.

Saw him years later and asked him about it. In his mind engineer meant like train engineer. I told him to me it mean like electrical engineer or a guy who designs cars etc...

They have a solid business school because a lot of the engr drops switch to that major. I don't know if it's changed but their industrial, ag, and aero programs are usually top 5 or so. Their vet/vet tech prgm is outstanding. It was and probably still is a cheaper option than U of I. I loved Purdue and I don't think I'd have been happy at U of I.

Purdue would be cheaper as Mitch Daniels has frozen tuition since 2012 or 2013, and this has been done without compromising the academic quality of the school.

and yes, Krannert is a great management school. I should know as I got my degree through the Krannert School at Purdue (yes this came after dropping engineering) :lol:
