Tonight Max Scherzer will be taking the mound for Arizona.

Being in a 15 team deep very intense league, almost every possible MLB player and prospect is drafted or known about.

Arizona had 2 top pitching prospects ahead of this guy, but he has been incredible.

When I read the story about him having 2 different colored eyes and the way he through, I felt like it was another Syd Finch.

Then they bring him up, he pitches 4 innings of relief and strikes out 7.

that said, sherzer is amazing. smart organizations like the d'backs, red sox, and yankees don't start their legitimate prospects because they look around the league at all the guys that are handled poorly and protect their investment. not only are guys like papelbon, chamberlain, and sherzer more valuable to their teams out of the pen their first few years, it also keeps them out of harm's way.
