like I said late Friday, the baseball week ends at 11 am on Saturday morning once September hits. I had to be reminded they were even playing on Sunday

I was coaching a 6:30 game and when I turned the radio on on the way home, you would have thought the Bears lost. I'm all for emotive post game shows but emote happiness on a winning day

I agree dolphin. Wins a win. Lots of teams lost to inferior competition yesterday Bears should be proud they weathered the storm.

I originally took the Vikings in my survivor pool, then I had second thoughts and switched to the Texans, then I switched to the Bears.

Every week in the NFL is critical and each is a battle. You get an occasional blowout but the historical margin of victory is infinitesimally small and the road is a brutal place to win.

That is correct. Every NFL team has excellent football players on it. Virtually all of these guys are former college all-americans or at least all-conference. THe term ANY GIVEN SUNDAY definitely applies. Look at what happened to Minnesota yesterday. On paper, the Bills didn't deserve to be on the same field with the Vikings but they won going away.

Bears defense has not committed a roughing the passer, unnecessary roughness or pass interference penalty this year.

It's great to be able to enjoy Bear games again, But let's be honest.. This team 0-3 without Mack. If anything happens to Mack were fucked.

And the Chiefs are probably 0-3 without Mahomes. The Packers are 0-2-1 if Rodgers wasn't able to play the second half in week one.

What does that even mean?

He plays the second most important position in the NFL. Taking him out is the talent diminution equivalent of taking out a QB. Of course they are 0-3 without him. But they weren't without him. Every team is one key injury from 0-3

And as long as they continue that trend, it will make up for some of the offense's shortcomings.

I mean he's the defensive MVP and in the top 5 for actual MVP...to ponder what the Bears would be without him is kinda dumb.

Any NFL player can get hurt but Mack has been durable thus far. I wouldn't freak out over this possibility, but it sure would suck if he suffered some freak injury.

Hilarious. He's had a great impact on the defense but he is hardly covering up multiple holes on the team. And your statement that (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky blows is total bullshit. What he is is INEXPERIENCED. He also pretty much lost a year in his development by being coached by Fox and Friends and not having even a decent veteran quarterback to understudy. Fox was a total idiot and didn't even try to develop him because he didn't know how.

Worry about your own team. Green Bay will not make the play-offs. The Bears may not either but Green Bay is heading for a big decline as Rodgers gets more and more creeky and their defense ages as well.

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky looked a lot better under Fox than he does under offensive guru Matt Nagy.

Can't argue.....my bigger problem is that the Matt Nagy offense looks like John Shoop's offense and less efficient than his predecessor.

I hate that complaint, and I have been really harsh on Nagy. The reason his offense looks like Shoop is because Nagy has correctly surmised that if they open it up the turnovers could flow freely. The Bears absolutely must win the turnover battle to win. It is their biggest key to victory.
