Not a penalty.

Actually, I don't remember. Maybe it was.

Pretty sure it wasn't.

I think it wasn't a penalty in game but he was given a significant fine the week after.

That sounds right.

Made me think of the Steelers game where Otis Wilson got a suspension for throwing a forearm into the Louis Lipps' face because Lipps leaned into it and Charlie Jones lost his shit about it leading to the league having to suspend Mama's Boy.

He gets one more week and then you work Daniels into the starting role during the Bye

Pipe dream. He is Pace's guy. As long as Pace is the GM, (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky will start.

The Bears are dumb enough that they would sacrifice the whole season to develop (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky, rather than put Daniels in to win now.

But I disagree with O'B in the postgame that what you see from (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is all you're ever going to get. He's played just the 3rd game in a new offense with a new HC. The more comfortable he gets in the system, the better he's going to get. I was happy to see (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky take shots down field, even though they were incomplete. It shows he's not afraid in the position. I don't question (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky's toughness or WTW. He just needs more experience, plain and simple.

Right now I see enough to believe that (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky has the right stuff to be a good NFL quarterback. As for O'B's comments who is he to judge a quarterback and how he progresses? O'B is just another dumb jock.

We are talking about James Daniels and Eric Kush

I have been preaching this for a while now. Ryan Pace has strung together 4 straight above average drafts (at least one outstanding draft) and now the Bears are reaping some of that success. Even guys like Floyd and White are starting to contribute, and while it may not be at the level you would want out of a top 10 pick they are still positive contributions.

Them looking this good all of a sudden is no accident. This depth was built.

It doesn’t look like this without the Mack trade dude. If Mitch turns out to be legit, then these two moves make up for a lot of Paces other poor moves. But with that said, it doesn’t change the fact that Pace has been very poor in the draft overall.

He has been better than the league. And as great as Mack has been, I do think he is what puts the team over the top, he is not being plugged into a bad team. Oakland never looked like this with him.

You can't discount the Mack trade when discussing Pace. It was huge and shows the balls he has.

Also the OL. Long has been an All-Pro this year, and I know he's not a Pace guy, but the rest are and they are playing lights-out. Kush came back and did well this week. The tackles are playing out of their minds.

Cant take away Pace's credit for building this.

It is pretty close to me saying I was wrong on Pace.

Not go all Darkside on him but Rick may owe me an apology for doubting Pace and Nagy.

Crazy what spending 3 years worth of draft picks and $350m in one offseason can accomplish!

Clearly trading draft picks for a qb that throws 6 tds in a game is inconsequential.

Remember when Kelly Holcomb had a world wrecking game? Not saying it's a concern tho.

Daniels quietly debuted with 27 snaps and played very well. Bilal Nichols had his role increased with the Hicks ejection and I didnt notice any fall off from Hicks against the run or the pass. UDFA Toliver started for Amukamara and really held his own in a brutal matchup.

This draft might go down as a really, really good one and there is no telling what kind of impact Wims, Fitts or Iyiegbuniwe can make later on.

I'll also say this now, name one day 3 pick from 2017 that has been better than Cohen or Eddie Jackson. Pace crushed it there. Jackson has bloomed into a real star.

Floyd and White are busts, and (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky appears to be the third best QB in the 2017 class. That ain't too good. At least Roquan looks like an emerging star, though.

2nd best and no health issues. He's already better than Jameis Winston and most of us thought he was going to be great.
