I got Leonard 1, Derwin 2, and Ward 3 for DROY. I don't think Ward is anywhere near the DPOY conversation currently.

Patrick Mahomes is the clear cut OPOY and MVP with no real close second. I imagine that will eventually change but it's just how it is right now. I would say Michael Thomas or Alvin Kamara is currently a distant second for OPOY.

Ultimately I think KC fades a little (still wins the AFC west) while Carolina comes on really hard and Newton takes MVP. He looks great this year.

Will have to catch up to those noon games, I was locked in on Bears, but I have hard believing someone did anything to unseat Mack at either of the spots I have him at in these awards.

The MVP race is effectively over unless Mahomes gets injured or completely falls apart. The superlatives being hurled around to describe what was honestly a pretty pedestrian performance just give away the fact that the league and the football media both want a new star QB joining the likes of Brady, Brees and Rodgers and they will force "Showtime" (kill this nickname please) on us whether he deserves it or not.

I don't think Mahomes will win it. Defenses are adjusting.

He was spiking the ball into the ground for three and a half quarters, yet I woke up this morning to fawning praise about his primetime performance. I agree that he's been figured out a little and someone who doesn't run one-deep zone safety like Denver (aka mincemeat for Reid) will be able stymie him, but there are forces beyond on-the-field football at work here.

Denver probably isn't feeling too much better about Chubb.

DeMarcus Lawrence is comfortably ahead of Eddie Jackson in the DPOY race right now. I might not know much but I do know that much.

There is a dark side to Leonard. Given up a ton of yards and 15(!!) first downs already. It's close between him and Vander Esch, I could go either.

The other four have simply been better.

There's a good case to be made the Bears coverage unit is now standalone top 5 in the league and his massive improvement is why. Thomas would be #5 if his season wasn't over.

Also, I'm not penalizing McCaffery for the bye.

I'm not penalizing him either. I don't think he's really all that close to Kamara.

Those seem like good odds for Ridley. I don't think his redzone work is a fluke and he's passed Sanu on the depth chart.

+2800 for Royce Freeman is intriguing too, but it might take a Lindsay injury. Phillip Lindsay is further evidence all the NFL scouting departments are just winging it. Can't believe he went undrafted.

I have some doubts on Lindsay but as long as he has that speed he'll have an obvious place on an NFL roster. Clearly an oversight by many RB-starved teams.

I dont know if Ridely can keep up this pace but if he does they have to give it to him. People want to throw Browns fans a bone though, dont underestimate that.

Brees won a ton of votes. I dont think he's leading but if he is it certainly isnt commanding.

Newton will never win it either. Him laughing at that silly bitch reporter permanently blackballed him.
