Jets have a decent defense. They are probably near the top of the middle third. Definitely not in the elite company and probably another rung below the class that's just below elite.

Packers/Jets/Redskins/Saints...they are in that class. So decent but not great. Surely beatable. FF talking up the Jets is part of his broader meta strategy to put every other under-25 QB in the NFL on a pedestal to annoy Bears fans.

Browns are a replacement level kicker away from being 3-0--with Tyrod Taylor at QB for 10 out of 12 quarters.

Except for the Bills and Cardinals you can say that about almost anyone. Obviously only two teams have played three games, but you know what I mean. Last year's Browns were as close to 6-10 as they were 0-16.

12 out of 16 games were decided by a TD+ in week 1.

10 out of 16 games decided by a TD+ in week 2.

Of the 3 games decided by a FG or less in week 1,

Janikowski missed a FG in the Seahawks 3 point loss in Denver in week 1. Don't see any other games with missed FG's that would have mattered in week 1 besides both kickers duffing it in OT in Browns-Steelers.

5 games decided by a FG or less in week 2,

Texans missed a FG in week 2 in their 3 point loss to the Titans. Browns kicker missed 2 FG's in their 3 point loss to the Saints. Vikings kicker went 0 for 3 in their tie with the Packers.

Steelers kicker cost them the game in week 1. He also missed a FG in week 2, which would've made it a 2 point deficit to the Chiefs instead of a 5 point loss.

So the only teams who could maybe pin their non-wins on their kickers both weeks would be the Browns and possibly the Steelers. But the Browns are the only team that legit lost or did not win both weeks by 3 points or fewer and had their kicker miss FG's.

You are your record in the NFL. There is no "good" loss.

That's why the NFL is coming back as the best sports league in the world. Winning is all that really matters and this losing-is-good mentality that has infected the NBA and MLB will just never take hold in the NFL. For 16 weeks every team, minus ones that just collapse in spectacular fashion due to total locker room meltdowns and open revolts against coaches (which is definitely not intentional tanking), tries as hard as it can to win every single play of every single game.

I love it. The league has me this year like it hasn't captivated me in almost a decade. It is so refreshing.

This is why football is so special and nothing else is like it.

4 passing TDs today

Wasn't sacked at all for the second straight week

Browns have won back to back games for the first time in years

Picked him up at the end of fantasy football draft and was mocked by the guys in my league for never getting a Cleveland QB. The last 2 weeks it has been me that has been laughing

He's getting on the nerves of other players.

Quote:
Richard Sherman was annoyed with Baker Mayfield before the game even started.

In fact, it was the Browns quarterback’s refusal to shake hands during the pregame coin toss that had the 49ers corner on edge.

“What’s amazing, and annoying, was him not shaking hands at the beginning,” Sherman told Mike Silver of NFL.com. “That’s some college s—. It’s ridiculous. We’re all trying to get psyched up, but shaking hands with your opponent — that’s NFL etiquette. And when you pull bush league stuff, that’s disrespectful to the game. And believe me, that’s gonna get us fired up.”

“Respect the game,” Sherman said. “You can have rivals, but pay your respect in that moment — especially when you’re young. He hasn’t earned anything in this league. How many games has he won? He’s acting like he was the MVP last year. If [Patrick] Mahomes did that, it would be one thing. But he would never do that, because he has too much respect for the game.

“And when you see a guy who doesn’t? You humble him every chance you get. Because eventually, he will have respect for the league — or he’ll be out of it.”

I mean, sure we have the small issue little stuff Richard Sherman has done that is contrary to etiquette, like verbally assaulting Tom Brady after a game.

Then there is the more league wide, unwritten rules enforced by white guys against joyful minorities, which he now seems to have joined the man's side in enforcing.

On the much more macro level, his argument is identical to that made by people for not kneeling, a practice which he defended.

and now he is proven to have lied about the underlying incident so, Richard Sherman...WHO YOU CRAPPIN!
