Yeah he sure did. Farvio said he wasn't really an NFL qb and now hes gonna lead the team to an NFC title.

Like I already mentioned, had to see a game like this even against a bad D to raise the ceiling on this bears team. I feel comfortable raising it now.

Oh I got it you're not trolling you're backpedaling. Ok.

I mean it really would be easier if you just read the thread instead of making uneducated guesses as to what I'm saying.

I did read it. So either you're backpedaling, trolling, or dumb enough to completely change your mind on a qb you said 3 days ago wasn't even NFL caliber after 30 minutes vs. his previous 16 games. Or you're just a waffler.
Hard to judge because you were so insistent a couple days ago mitch was the 32nd best in the league and you're willing to completely change your mind after such a small sample size.

He was one of the worst QBs in the league the first three weeks and was phenomenal today.

Most people who aren't morons change their opinion when presented with new data/info. Maybe you're unaware of this?

Most people know about small sample sizes too. Tell ya what he plays like this for 4 or 5 straight games and maybe I'd believe you that you think hes transformed from chris Chandler to Joe Montana but for the moment i dont buy it.

I don't think he's an all time great. I think he might be decent now. His first three games didn't show me that.

This isn't complicated.

Jumped over Cutler and got closer to Orton and Grossman.

Ok so based on this thread you'll apologize to nas then for laughing at him?

When did you turn in to Boilermaker Rick?

Its not hard for me to say I was probably wrong about him being terrible this year. This looked like a confidence building game for him.

Interesting.

Yep! I was saying that earlier this week. Now some consistently good/great games is the next step.

You have a very bizarre idea of when apologies are necessary. You must ask for them an awful lot.

I'm not asking for an apology. I was wondering g if you were going to offer one to nas for laughing at him. He only suggested the same thing you've been desperately defending here in this thread. And it was only a couple days ago you laughed at him.
Look if you dont think you'd owe him an apology for the way you treated him I can't say I find that surprising.

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky didnt just have a great game, he had one of the GREATEST games. It may wind up meaning nothing, but if you're like me and believe his problem has been confidence this could be a huge turning point for him. He doesnt need to play like this for the Bears to win.

What you have to love about this is NO TURNOVERS. He was slinging it and taking care of the ball.

If you aren't pumped over this you just shouldn't be a fan.

Kind of annoying as a GB fan but good for them. It's been awhile.

Dude this was posted at ~1:40pm which means you weren't even much more than an hour removed from Mitch not being able to hit the broad side of a barn whilst Fitzmagic was looking like he could get just about any throw he wanted (especially those crossing routes over the middle of the field thst gashed the bears wholesale)

Don't get me wrong, obviously the Bears had a quality win today but still come back and show me 250/3TD next week (or 2TD if you get 2/+ rushing TDs) while the defense keeps on keeping on if you wanna start talking about today being a sign of things to come.

It was awfully nice of the Tampa Bay Buccos to essentially go out there and warm up Mitch from Krapperdick bad (srsly the way Mitch had wide open WRs with nobody within ~3+ yds of them lunge jump and dive to catch balls from Mitch = reminiscent of that one Trestman-era SNF game where Kaepertwink had his wide open 49er WRs/TEs do the same en route to going up 20-0 when it shoulda been 35-0+.... In a game SF ended up losing either 21-20 or 28-20) AHEM..... yeah TB warmed him up from that to proper game state... That's not gonna happen most weeks!

TLDR =
Doug Buffone wrote:

that said, yeah, it was really damn fucking nice to see the Beloved go out there and absolutely kick the shit out of an opponent who was "asking for it" --- the best part was seeing Fitzmagic go out there and miss open WRs at 28-3.... He was demoralized! He was rattled! Props to Nagy for not getting up 14-21 and running the ball cuz that's what you do and continuing to chuck the ball around the yard until TB figured out how to either cover you or rush you.

I figure this offense where Mitch gets 5secs+ to throw to receivers with nobody within 5yds of them has some potential going forward. The bears should look into playing games like this more often in the future!

If Mitch wants me to change my (((perception))) of him (obviously (((media))) influenced! Duh.) then he can go out a cpl Sundays from now and start off a game NOT hearkening memories of 2005 Kyle orton (throwing 3ft over open WRs' heads) and calmly/clinically dropping 250+yds with no less than 2-3 TDs (my gut says 250/3+ but if the bears get 2-3 rushing TDs I'd accept 2) in a solid-to-convincing Bears victory. Show me that this 6 TD outing changed/evolved you for the better and you've taken a step or two forward in terms of improving as a QB.

Obviously today was a great game and in the end you can't take 6 TD / 0 INT away from him, but it's not like he was threading the needle from the first drive until the 4th quarter. It's like he was playing NFL Blitz on the easiest difficulty and, quite frankly (without Stephen A. Smith) I'm interested to see him put up #s like this in a game where his WRs aren't wide open 95%+ of the time AND the other team recovers to punch the bears in the mouth a few times (say TB doesn't have penalties derail a couple'a early drives and they make it 14-7 instead of 14-3 so the pressure is on) -- I'm still pretty sure that Mitch isn't exactly grace under pressure when the game's on the line and that's arguably the biggest area I need to see improvement from him b4 I can start proclaiming the bears are the class of the NFC (especially in a NFC that also has the LA Rams, who look pretty FK'N good these days!)

He could have a great career and still never put together a game like he did today again. What (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky did today is quasi-historic. First ever to go 300+ passing, 50+ rushing and 6 TD's. EVER. And to not have any turnovers? Dude, that's the greatest game a Bears QB has ever had and its not really close.

That's why everyone is just over the moon for the Bears right now. Nobody alive (or dead?) has seen a Bears QB do what (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky just did.

No it's cool. You can laugh at your friends ideas like they're stupid and claim them for your own thoughts days later and that's cool to a guy like you. Seems perfectly normal.

I don't really think FF is trolling per say.

I think he is trying straddle the fence. If the Bears keep it going and have a good team then he can stay he was right.

If the Bears fall apart then he will laugh his ass off and still proclaim to be right because they don't have Rodgers.

Its fair to say this moment in (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky's career could easily be a turning point and change the way you think of him going forward.

Oh I'm not saying you're wrong. In fact I hope you're right.
I just find it amusing that between Wednesday and noon today favrefan laughs at the idea bears are the best team in the division and by 145pm today hes saying they might be the best team in the whole conference.

Well the Bears went and thoroughly wrecked one of the NFL's leading offenses this season. That kind of dominance does change things.

I will definitely laugh if the Bears fall apart and suck. But that's not me straddling any fence. I genuinely believe they are very good. Not sure how else to make that clear.

As Darko has pointed out, just a couple days ago you were laughing at them being the best in the division. Now you are proclaiming them one of the best in the NFC.

Not sure how that isn't clear.

I'm just not a moron like you're pretending to be in this thread (fwiw I know you're not a moron and am confused why you're purposely acting like one).

It's not complicated. Mitch has never been even close to as good as he was today and now that I've seen it it necessitates reevaluating him and the Bears.

For real man, stop acting like a fucking idiot in an attempt to play gotcha. You were a much better poster years ago before you became the more intolerable person on this message board that includes baby and chas.

I don't really think FF is trolling per say.

I think he is trying straddle the fence. If the Bears keep it going and have a good team then he can stay he was right.

If the Bears fall apart then he will laugh his ass off and still proclaim to be right because they don't have Rodgers.

I will definitely laugh if the Bears fall apart and suck. But that's not me straddling any fence. I genuinely believe they are very good. Not sure how else to make that clear.

Youd laugh if they fell apart after predicting they'd be bad then predicting they'd be the best in the conference?
What are you laughing at exactly? Your flip flopping?

Why are you attempting to prove you're the dumbest person on this board? Relax, you're not. Stop acting like an idiot in a desperate attempt to prove an invalid point. Thank you.
