The Bears have a great defense, but Mitch allows teams to hang around. I was looking at the schedule and I think this is a 6-10 team, 8-8 at best. Teams with good QB's with decent support around them (unlike Seattle) will have multiple ways to win if Mitch doesn't start finishing teams off. Here are my predictions the rest of the way:

Tampa - Loss
Miami - Loss
New England - Loss
Jets - Win
Buffalo - Win
Detroit - Win
Minnesota - Loss
Detroit - Loss
Giants - Loss
Rams - Loss
Green Bay - Loss
SF - Win
Minnesota - Loss

These are the most egregious posts in the thread. FavreFan’s prediction was expert-level in comparison.

The only thing that Polecat could think about after the game was how Pace botched the Shaheen pick.

Minnesota D looks bad, we could take both games from them.

Listening to Hampton & OB podcast. The earlier games they were vicious towards Mitch. OB even said he would never amount to a hill of beans. Sounds like OB had some surgery so he's slow upstairs. Carmen even had to tell him we're on the air, I shouldn't be talking to myself to embarrass him. His daughter Gigi even texted her dad previous show worried about him telling him to cool it. Not a must listen anymore when it was OB & Doug. Show should be pulled off the air midseason.

Hicks gets $33k fine for bumping the official. No suspension (obviously).

I'm guessing $75k no suspension.

That isn't official is it? My understanding is $33k is the minimum.

Hicks and Bears have no shown themselves to be undiscplined or out of control this year at all, the minimum may be in line for Hicks.

The NFL realizes that the official started the whole thing.

Hicks will get the minimum and no suspension.

Bears.

I know. It is like he has a second and 3rd gear. On some of those plays it looked like the defensive guy had an angle of him but he just put it in overdrive and get past the guy. That one handed grab of the pass was terrific also.

Seems like no injuries in this one. Bears only get healthier going into the bye.

I thought so too. I thought in the 2nd half they would just feed Howard but that didn't really happen.

If Howard isn't going to do that, he's too good for what they want. Trade him if they can.

Will a 3rd round pick suffice? I would love Howard on GB if Nagy is too smart to use one of the best runners in the league.

I'm sure Nagy would use him if he could. There's just too much talent and only one ball.

Packers have it easy with just one good player to give the ball to. Narrows the decision tree.

Agreed. A trade makes sense. Maybe a 5th and a conditional 6th if things go right gets Howard? Not much leverage since the bears showed they don't need him.

Hilarious. The Bears would never trade Howard, especially to the Packers. As for a 5th and 6th pick. That is crazy also. The Bears, right now have all of the arrows in their quiver set and ready to go. You don't give up a weapon like Howard under any condition.

He threw his pads into the stands, not a ball.

Akiem Hicks threw his jersey into the stands with his shoulder pads still inside. #Bears staff had to retrieve the pads, but the fan got to keep the jersey.

The one thing I had to bitch about yesterday was the two minute drill at the end of the first half. It still doesn't appear that Nagy has learned his lesson about taking his foot off the pedal

He'll get fined more for this than pushing the ref.

Seems like Hicks forgot to take his "pills" yesterday. World class athletes but they have the IQ of a cocker spaniel.

Hicks always struck me as one who had his shit together mentally. Sometimes these guys just go savage on the field.

 Holy shit they were up 32 points and it wasn't even halftime yet. Pretty sure Nagy didn't call off the dogs until well into the 3rd quarter.

He coached like a guy that had Cody Parkey on his fantasy team and needed a 50+ yarder.

watch that full sequence and tell me otherwise

He was running throughout the two minute drill and let time tick away before kicking a field goal. The Bucs were giving them another score. Take it.

I am not alone in this thought. Speilman noted something similar

Again, this wasn't a 14-10 game. I have no problem with them taking their time and kicking a FG when they ahead by THIRTY TWO points.

Yeah that's insane. I know they have a lot of money but the resale value isn't 5% of that.

I wanted another touchdown but it was good practice for our kicker in a blowout.

I would have said the same thing up 20.

The truth is, you can never score enough and certainly not in the first half.

I will never find fault when the Bears have a seven touchdown lead at halftime.
