I do think there is room for another Mike Alstott-like player, the issue is nobody has been anywhere near as good as Alstott since he retired. A lot of those guys become H-Backs now, but someone who is a dedicated runner/blocker? There is definitely room for that in the league, and some guys do make livings with it, but we just havent had the super-stud that reminds us how effective that role can be.

Happens to all of them who miss preseason and training camp though. Mack wasn't just eating marshmellows, but he wasn't prepping for games either.
