There is definitely room for that in the league, and some guys do make livings with it, but we just havent had the super-stud that reminds us how effective that role can be.

The league will cycle back to having that type of player again.

Mike Alstott was a HOF caliber talent. I don’t think it’s realistic to ask Anthony Sherman or Kyle Juszczyk to be that.

Sure it’s possible that a guy like that comes around again. It’s just that passing is proven to be so much more effective at this point it’ll be tough.

It'll just take that special player that makes everyone stop and go "ohhhh shit"

In retrospect the most obvious result of the week was Belichick process-ing the shit out of the Patriots and steamrolling whoever was in their way.

The offense still didn't scare you. A pass rush isn't something Brady likes.

What they will do for Mack will be really interesting. Everyone after the Patriots on the Bears schedule is circling that game to see if there is a way to stop Khalil Mack from just brute-forcing one or two turnovers all by himself. If the Patriots cant solve him? Well, the then he cant be solved.

The way to 'solve' Mack is probably to throw/run the ball to the side of the field that he is not on.

Packers gave everybody the blueprint in the second half of week 1. It's tough to pull off though.

  Except that blueprint only seems to work when he misses all of training camp and gets traded to a new team 4 days before the game.

Mack on the sideline sucking oxygen helps your offense.

He was on the field being blocked by one guy on the Allison GW TD. That excuse doesn't hold water.

The idea that he wasn't staying in shape during his holdout is bizarre even by Bear fan standards.

I like the "not in game shape" excuse though. it's a fun one

Happens to all of them who miss preseason and training camp though. Mack wasn't just eating marshmellows, but he wasn't prepping for games either.

He looked great in the first half and the next week but the one half of football he's played this year where he wasn't absolutely dominant is all of a sudden explained by not being in shape? I think you realize how ridiculous this sounds.

He was also tired against Seattle. He didnt play every snap until Week 3. He didn't play every snap this week, but that's because Tampa Bay was down 35-3 before halftime.

Chiefs know the Broncos at Mile High are never an easy out. Reid has gotten good.

Mahomes struggling with the pressure. Nearly threw a redzone pick.

Young QB under attack by one of the league's freaks of nature in a hostile environment...could see this one coming. He may get it together but right now he's rattled. Hasnt been hitting any of his throws.

The Fuller boys aren't good at last second game-winning picks.

Case Keenum is among the worst in the league at pocket presence. Just zero ability to manage the rush and maneuver around it.
