Another good episode. I haven't figured out what Kim was doing buying all the art/office supplies there at the end but was a little sad to see
there are only 3 episodes left after it took so long to come back on.

I thought this was the best episode of the season so far. Saul is getting really, really close.

Agreed. The moving forward months montage helped a lot.

So Jimmy is done with his PPD right? Does that mean we moved forward 10 months or so?

Seems like it. He said he has one month left until he can practice law again.

Another well-written and well-acted episode that didn't seem to amount to much. This show is less than the sum of its parts.

Great opening montage.

If you look carefully, in the split-screen between what Jimmy sees and what Kim sees, the tightness of each person's shirt is different, probably owing to what they think that they look like vs what the other person thinks that they look like. I found that fascinating.

That's a good way to put it. Sums up my feelings about it.

Once again, another episode with lots of blue imagery. Especially around Kim who is almost always wearing blue clothing. I'm assuming this means something really bad is going to happen to her...or maybe it means that she is Jimmy's "blue meth" i.e. the thing he cares the most about in the world.

Even the camera lens seems to have a blue shade on it for some of the scenes.

So with three episodes left in the season, do you think we'll see any more BB cameos? The most likely one I think will be Tuco, as he eventually takes Hector in to live with him.

I thought we might see Jesse or Skinny Pete buying a phone from Saul in the last episode, but no.

Would be neat to see at least one major character, like Hank, make an appearance.

Hank was great. He did not deserve to die in the desert. Long live Hanksterbrau!

It would be nice to see Walt teaching with Jessie in the classroom. Maybe how Hank climbed the ladder within the DEA.

Think we probably will see Emilio interact with Saul eventually.

Another solid episode.

R&R goes about as predicted as Kai is a handsy asshole and Werner talks to guys at the bar about his project.

Nacho is in charge until another Salamamca comes in to take over.

But the piece de resistance is the Kim and Jimmy con. Great work, and it got Kim anxious to chase that high again.

2 episodes left.

mike's deathstare to gunther when he said "time to go" at the bar was classic.

the salamanca's really have a thing for their cooking. but honestly, i'd love to try it.

EDIT: also loved the bayou pastor voice. odenkirk recalling his senator tankerbell from "mr. show".

From the BB color scheme theory...

Blue
Whitesblue
Skyler and Walter White wearing dark blue.

Toddwalter
Todd Alquist in blue while working as Walter's assistant.

Worn by: Skyler White, Walter White, Todd Alquist, Lydia Rodarte-Quayle

Symbolism: Loyalty, power, magic (as in the "magic of chemistry" that Walt and Gale talk about), sadness, purity, water, sky, coldness

Blue is a primary color on the RYB color wheel.

Examples:

Walter White's signature meth formula produces blue crystals known as Blue Sky.
Walter and Skyler White both wear dark blue to the birthday party for Elliott Schwartz. ("Gray Matter")
Skyler wears blue while sitting with Walter at his chemotherapy sessons. ("Crazy Handful of Nothin'")
Jesse Pinkman wears a dark blue shirt during his interrogation about Tuco Salamanca. ("Bit by a Dead Bee")
Jane Margolis is wearing blue denim when she dies in her sleep and is buried in a dark blue dress chosen by her father. ("ABQ")
Walter and Skyler White wear blue shirts and dark blue pants to the storage facility where Skyler stored a huge pile of cash. ("Gliding Over All")
Sky blue is the color of the ribbons worn by multiple characters in memory of the Wayfarer 515 plane crash.
Both Walter White and Victor, who are eager to show their loyalty to Gustavo, wear blue in the superlab soon after the murder of Gale Boetticher. ("Box Cutter")
Lydia wears a dark blue shirt when she tries to convince Mike, Walter, and Jesse that she did not put GPS trackers on the Madrigal methylamine containers. ("Dead Freight")
Jesse wears a large blue sweatshirt when he first meets Jane Margolis' father and, soon after, complains to Jane for acting like she barely knew him in front of her dad. ("Over")
Walter Jr. wears a dark blue shirt when he visits Walter, who has been badly beaten up, and promises not to tell Skyler about the fight. ("Salud")
Todd Alquist wears dark blue when working as Walter's assistant in the mobile meth lab. ("Gliding Over All")
The color of the Vamonos Pest lettering on the mobile meth lab cases is blue, instead of the usual green and yellow that is found in the business logo. ("Gliding Over All")
Lydia wears a bright blue coat when she meets Declan in the desert to discuss the poor quality of the meth from his lab. ("Buried")
Huell and Kuby are wearing blue shirts when they go to the storage facility to collect Walter's money. Huell suggests that they run off to Mexico with the money, but Kuby reminds Huell of Walter's hit on Mike's guys in prison as a reason not to cross Walter. ("Buried")
The flashlights equipped by the Albuquerque Police who discover Walter White's corpse within the lab of the nazis illuminate Walt and color him blue in his death. ("Felina")

Ok, I think I figured out what happens to Kim.

At the end of the episode, she is clearly hungering for more dangerous stunts.

It seems very simple: Jimmy and Kim engage in a scheme, he gets away, but she gets caught and sent to prison. I say caught, and not killed, because Saul in Breaking Bad does not appear to be scarred at all by any sort of loss (although this whole thing is ret-conned anyhow, but. .. ). But, yes, Kim would be in prison far away during the events of Breaking Bad.

kim flips to testify to save her ass and in sheer Saul Goodman fashion, Jimmy is able to use the shady points of law to wriggle free, but still must flee to ABQ

I think whatever scheme they hatch is going to involve Mesa Verde and will bring them down.

I thought this ep was a bit zzzzzzz.

Didn't really find the scam that interesting or inventive enough to spend a half hour watching it unfold.

yeah, is this company (derp) building toward something that im missing? from what ive seen, whenever they have them on screen with their meetings, theres no underlying shadiness about them. just that they want Kim to do her job. there haven't been any like, angles or clues to a score there.

Obviously you have to see how this season ends but I think this is by far the worst season of either BCS or BB. They probably should only do one more season to tie it all up.

I've still liked this season for the most part but it has continued the very methodical pace.

I imagine next season will be the last

So did Werner leave because he was homesick or for some other reason?

I thought next season for sure was the last. I thought they announced that but it might just have been the voices in my head.

I'm still going to watch it through but it's not a great show. It's pretty good. They should have gotten to the Saul business about a season ago.
