Mike was referring to the mythical owners risk and that's primarily what I was responding to.

And financing aside, $5MM guaranteed for next year and essentially 0 after that is a ridiculously one sided deal to a team that will ride him to death.

Its actually not because these guys wind up getting hurt all the time and in that case the money is a complete waste.

No.

Kinda silly that you wont acknowledge the obvious similarities because you dont want to "degrade" Bell to the level of Reggie bush.

Correct. Reggie bush at his best is a dime store version of Bell. It's silly to say he was the first Bell.

HALTIME SCORES FOR THE STEELERS:
Week 1: Steelers 7 Browns 0
Week 2: Steelers 21 Chiefs 21
Week 3: Steelers 30 Bucs 10
Week 4: Steelers 14 Ravens 14

Somehow despite all these "FIRST HALF FAILURES THAT FORCE 50-60 THROWS TO CATCH UP" the Steelers have actually never trailed at halftime in 2018.

...and you're saying I dont watch the games. smh. The Steelers do get off to shitty starts though, but that's because they do not have defense not because of Roethlisberger.

Bush could never handle the touches but as players they are quite similar. On a per attempt basis the stats are not as overwhelmingly in favor of Bell, and if you compare Bush's mid-career renaissance to what Bell has already done they are about equal in those categories.

Faulk redefined the position. Bell is clearly the best in the game now. Maybe the best ever given the amount of touches.

Bell is not in the game now so you have no idea if what you're saying is true or not. Calling him the best ever is completely ridiculous.

Again, if you actually saw the games you'd know they were down 21-0 to Kansas City, that Ben looked as shitty as every other Steeler in week one, with Connor looking pedestrian since then after his one great game. Or that the non existent running game forced Ben into a bushel of shitty throws against Baltimore and even Tampa.

The defense owns a chunk of the shitshow, but if you think Ben has been anything other than a disappointment you need help.

It's easy to be efficient with less volume. What Bell is doing is historic.

Ben is in decline but so is AB.

Le'veon Bell is not the first player to ever get over 400 touches.

AB is not in decline. He needs to adjust to being the main focus of every opponents defense scheme.

There is absolutely no credible argument that he is the best WR in football anymore.

You overreact way too much. He's been the best WR for at least the last four years. That likely isn't over.

This is true no NFL player has ever declined after turning 30.

You're the one making assumptions on him, not me.

He's been as good as ever this year. They aren't using him down field like Haley did.

There is absolutely no basis for that, and you know I'm watching these shitty primetime Steelers games every week.

You're the one with no basis of an argument. Youre using a four game sample over 5 years of sample size, and Brown has still been pretty damn good in that four game sample size.

I guess you think Odell is suddenly just not great anymorw too.

nah Odell is definitely better than Brown. One of the guys vying for the distinction of best in the NFL.

But he's doing worse this year and you're only judging stuff on this year's stats since there's no other reason to say AB isn't still the best.

I honestly could tell you who has separated from the Julio/Odell/Hill/Thomas/Hopkins pack quite yet. All of them are playing very well, I'm sure by the end of the season we'll have a consensus #1 again.

It's still Brown until further notice.

9th in receptions (6th among WR)
35th in yards (29th among WR)
109th in yards per reception (111th???? among WR...I dont know why there is a discrepancy here. Either way: BAD)
T-4th in receiving TD's (to be fair he is tied with like 20 other players)
T-19th in first downs
PFF has him rated #37
Steelers are 1-3-1
He has plenty of room to work with Smith-Schuster and his QB is not an excuse. Many WR are outperforming this year with QB's worse than Ben.

He's probably still better than all that would indicate but plenty of good WR are not in consideration for best WR. Brown is now in the Evans/Theilen/Sanders/Davis/etc tier.

 stop citing PFF like their grades aren't a joke.

But otherwise all you did was back up with stats what I've already said - they are misusing him and not using him down field like Haley did and you're putting way too much stock into a 4 game sample size when the last 5 years of data suggest no WR was on his level.
