You can pay attention to PFF but never treat them as gospel alone. His grade is corroborated by his play this year.

This is such a ridiculous take.

And you cant show me anything to refute it other than a bunch of plays Brown made when he was still in 20's.

It's not and it's like the millionth example of PFF's grades not remotely matching what we see on the field.

They right more often than they are wrong but there is a large segment of fans who think their word is god. There is also a large segment who think they are worthless. The truth about PFF is somewhere in the middle.

They’re pretty useless. It’s been shown multiple times.

What has been shown that blindly following them is like blindly following Madden ratings.

I think they have certain people grading games who are good at what they do and other who are not and that most of their problems stem from that.

HOF WR's say he's an all time great but I guess I'll believe America that he's the same as Emmanuel Sanders

Oh of course he's an all time great but he's simply not the best WR right now today.

He still is. We can revisit this in January.

@ me when Brown does things like Hopkins did on Sunday. And not when Brown was in his 20's, like this season.

Ok. I'll let you know when he has 9 catches for 150 yards and sets up the game winning score. Won't have to wait too long is my guess.

Eh fuck the stats. And I'm saying that from a position where the stats overwhelmingly confirm what I am saying, that Brown is simply not the best WR in the league.

Hopkins, Beckham, Julio...hell even Theilen...they just look better. They make bigger plays. Of what the defense is willing to give those WR they always seem to take just a little more. Hopkins had that double spin move that was almost inhuman, Beckham threw the longest TD pass thrown by the Giants this year (lmao)...that was just this week. Brown just doesn't do it to that extent anymore. You say I have to pick between Hopkins, Beckham or Brown to be my starting WR in a must-win game and I am not even considering Brown. Nothing even against Brown there, he's just not better than those two. He doesn't move like those guys anymore.

If we are throwing out the stats than there's no further debate necessary. You're the only one I know of who thinks Brown lost a step. He looks as good as ever and his usual dominant stats would be there if he wasn't throw almost twice as many uncatchable balls as the next closest WR. You're box score scouting my friend.

Big Ben is not what he once was but he is still infinitely better than Eli Manning or whatever panic-stricken, hobbled version of Deshaun Watson the Texans are currently fielding.

I wasn't just guessing when I said that part about uncatchable balls.

PFF--SUDDENLY GOOD?

Fine, just donate Brown those 22 catches for his 10.7 yard average and he still isnt caught up to Hopkins or Theilen.

Can we let Thielen try to catch more than 5 TDs in a single season before pretending he's even close to being better than Antonio Brown? Is that too much to ask?

You keep trying to use things Antonio Brown did in his 20's to describe the player Antonio Brown is now.

Antonio Brown has as many TDs THIS YEAR as Thielen does in his career best season so far. Fuck outta here with the continued "he's not the same guy" excuse when he very clearly is.

I've provided everything I need to. You're the one hitching your argument to lack of receiving yards in a 5 game sample size while ignoring that literally everything else points to him being the same player.

You havent given me one reason he's better than Hopkins or Beckham (let alone others) and are instead trying to minimize the argument by picking the weakest comparisons of the herd like an undrafted intern-turned-NFL player and arguing those. There is absolutely no reason...not even one...to call Brown better than Hopkins or Beckham this year. You saw your list of missed throws--who was #2? Sure hasn't hurt him much.

If you get a coherent reason why Brown is better right now--NOT BETTER IN 2015--than those two then we can talk. Until then this "argument" is pretty much you just insisted "nuh-uh, nuh-uh, nuh-uh" over and over.

So the answer to my question is yes, I guess. It is too much to ask to say a WR should catch more than 5 TD passes in an entire season before saying he's better than the best WR of our generation. Got it.

See even you cant admit Brown is the best now. You cloud it in more uncertain and vague terms like "BEST IN OUR GENERATION" because deep down you know I'm right.

I just realized you don't care about touchdowns at the WR spot and this is a big reason for why you think guys like Odell are having a better season right now than Brown is. I don't know what to tell you there, I just very much disagree with it. I think it's insane to look at Odell and Brown's body of work this season and conclude Odell is having the better season.

No I still think he's the best. I'm open to the idea that Beckham or Hopkins are passing him this year but I need to see it. They aren't proving they are right now.

I think you're smartly backtracking on Thielen being better.

Sorry to have left my brother FF out here on an island defending AB from an unspeakable attack. AB is on the way to the HOF and is clearly top 3 in the league. Discussion otherwise is preposterous.

Watch the way Odell moves and reacts the ball. Its so much sharper and quicker than what Brown is nowadays. Part of the reason stats are kinda dumb is that they really do nothing to capture how clearly different the two look.

If Odell didn't have Eli's corpse at QB and instead of Sterling Shepherd had JuJu Smith-Schuster taking attention I'm sure the TD's would be flowing. Odell still makes plays on a weekly basis that Brown is simply incapable of putting together now. I'm not talking about fantasy here.
