So did Ranger go off on the caller because he had his vacation planned or did his going off on the caller cause the vacation?

Either way, the fuse is short

Didn't hear it. It was mentioned here that Larry was gonna sub for Ranger. I think today was planned.

I heard B&B play the Ranger tape. What happened? They just played Ranger's reaction where he told Caller Steve "Don't call again. Act like an adult. Lock your self in a room tomorrow if you have to."

The caller was right about Swisher being offered to many teams this offseason. heard Stone even say that if the Cubs did not get Fukudome they would have ended up with Swisher as everyone knew he was on the market.

Saw other reports about SF or the Angels all ready to get him.

Sure sounds like the offer was on the table for anyones taking and it looks like Swisher was everyones backup plan.

Caller Steve was right on about everything he said about Swisher, but the Ranger was taking the ass kissing route. The A's were happy to get rid of him, his act wears on a team, and he does play a average Centerfield.

Actually, Laurence Holmes mentioned something about pinch-hitting for Chris Rongey at the conclusion of "Boers & Bernstein" last Friday after he pinch hit for Terry. Laurence will be covering the pre & postgame duties Friday & Saturday on 670 "The SCORE" & the Chicago White Sox Radio Network before & after the Sox games in Seattle. I'm not sure if Chris will be back at the "SCORE" studios Sunday afternoon or Monday night when the Sox start a 4 game series at the Anaheim (NOT LOS ANGELES) Angels. This was a prearranged vacation for "The Ranger".

From what I heard, he was attending a wedding. Not his, but someone's.

It would be pretty pointless to attend a wedding where someone isn't getting married.

Could have been a symbolic gay marriage, couldn't it?
Not there's anything wrong with that.

A wedding where no one gets married is either utterly pointless or unbelievably eventful. It could swing either way.

Nothing wrong with it unless it's not open bar.

So, you're saying you'd take it up the ass, symbolically of course, if an open bar was involved?
Do you like your martini shaken or stirred?

Are you talking top shelf liquor or well drinks and draft beer?
