He was a producer who decided to follow the Mitch career path. So he was Mitch's deputy, and I think he did all the grunt shit like schedule the producers and the fill in hosts.

"complete pushover to employees". He is easily like one of those "Players Coaches".

1. He certainly didn't interject and do anything when his afternoon drive show became unlistenable.
2. Did he interject while Spiegel was being a bitch to new guy Parkins?
3. Did he interject while Larry was "waiting in the hallway"?

We know he did not with #1.
Maybe he did with #2 and #3 but they should have never happened in the first place.
