I like the duplicity but you know in town stupid would think Mitch was being replaced

Howard hasn't been good this year. In some ways it may be good to trade him now.

Plus, he has shown malcontent tendencies. Gimme a 1st and it’s a done deal.

Mully was talking about a third. No thanks. They can make that trade in the off season.

Malcontent? I don't sense that at all.

The removal of pictures with Bears gear from his Instagram account during the offseason and being upset because he didn't get more touches after the biggest Bears victory in years are signs that he's a diva. You don't need that type of cancer in the locker room.

You have to trade him if you are offered a first. I think Philly is going to get McCoy.

McCoy is definitely a better fit. If Howard is struggling in Chicago he will have similar issues in Philadelphia.

Howard will get 100+ yards on Sunday and all this hand-wringing will go away.

What do you think. They finish up at? We probably have the best D in the NFL and if Mitch improves to average.. We win the SB

Before they got Mack i had them at 7-9, I still think they could be a 9-7 team and don't see them getting 10 wins unless they play teams who happen to have major injuries at key positions.

They've got 10 wins in them easy.

They should beat 3 out of the next 4 of the AFC East portion of the schedule.

They will beat the Beat Hard 49ers.

They will beat the Giants.

They should be able to beat the Lions at least once if not twice, and I think they can beat the Packers at home. That's 10 with a chance at 11 right there.

Is Week 6 still the trading deadline? If not, his stock will rise. Perfect time to feature Cohen.

The Eagles apparently don't have the cap space to absorb Bell or McCoy and the Bills/Steelers both want draft picks and not players.

What does Philly have that you want (and that Philly could give up)? Agholor? No thanks. Darby? Hm, now we may be talking.

Still this disrupts the Bears identity as a ball control offense that wants to keep their defense at peak rest and peak efficiency all game. The pass rush stallions must be going full bore or opponents will start picking on Fuller and Amukamara (who has looked great this year but can be beat one-on-one). Really makes me wish Pace kept up his habit of drafting an RB every year, but hey maybe there was nobody there he was interested in. Pace can't target a player that doesn't exist.

The Bears featured Cohen vs the Bus because that was how you attack that defense. They are going to need to grind it again vs the Phins and Patriots. I doubt Howard is going anywhere, much of this is an overreaction to 1 game in which Cohen was the feature back.

I generally agree, and when it gets muddy and wet Cohen won't be able to cut the way he needs to.

Looking back, a team probably should have offered a 1st(outbid Seattle) for Lynch when Buffalo traded him in 2010.

The price right now is a 1st or 2nd rounder or fuck off we’re keeping him. Offseason changes that but in season? Fuck you, pay me.

Jordan Howard is definitely NOT worth a #1.

A few imo. Gurley is without a doubt. I think Bell, Johnson, and Zeke probably are too.

Bell is one drug fail away from a one year ban. No one is giving up a number 1 for him. Gurley and Zeke are definitely worth a number 1.

Getting a second and third in next years draft would certainly be enticing. Presently we don't have a pick until roughly 90.

We are sitting in 1st place with the best defense in the NFL. Who gives a fuck about next years draft, specifically a 2nd or 3rd rounder. Especially when it comes at the cost of taking a valuable player off the current roster.

I would need 2 1st rounders for Howard before I even considered this trade. Nope not even doing it for a 1st rounder. Now off season, that is a different story.

I definitely wouldn't trade him for less than a 2nd.

And there will be a bunch of sandwich and comp picks stuffed in there. Most likely 105-110 when all said and done.

Only the staff knows how valuable he is to them. Especially if there is likelihood for a Le’Veon situation. If 90% of what they want in a back is Cohen, that is an expensive backup piece.

And that 2 and 3 will matter when you want to maintain that number 1 defense next year.

Cohen is not an everydown back. Again, this is all an overreaction to the Tampa game.
