With all the hand-wringing about the limited number of slots available for the MJH golf outing, it occurred to me that perhaps some alternate idea's for outings might be helpful. Mac used to have a fishing trip with Boers at the Score. I wonder if there might be interest in having a fishing trip on Lake Michigan?? It would give additional listeners an opportunity to get involved in a MJH outing and also be another way to raise money to fight Autism.Plus, just imagine Jurko playing the part of the skipper, on such a 3 hour tour... I have gone deep sea fishing myself, but never on a charter on Lake Michigan. If there is sufficient interest expressed here, perhaps Mac will consider it. Anyone else interested in such a charter fishing trip?

I don't know Steve, would you be Jurko's "Little Buddy"?
I imagine there are requirements that come along with that position you may find slightly uncomfortable, coconut oil not withstanding.

That's fine, as long as there is coconut oil involved.

Please take your'e Juvenile spat elsewhere guys. The purpose of this post, is to see if there is legitimate interest from people affiliated with the message board to go on a chartered fishing trip, with MJH. People that wish to use this post to carry on personal issues, kindly bugger off. Sorry, but I just watched an English movie, where rather than saying fuck off, they kept saying bugger off and I thought it had a nice ring to it. :!:

Steve, I don't see how this may be realistic. They would have to take out a multimillion dollar liability policy to do this outing. Drunk sports fans on a boat. How many will end up in the water after hour 1 of this trip?

GOod call. Even if the fishing is horrible, there will still probably be more fish in the boat than people at days end.

This seems to work for Kerry Wood (and god knows we hear about it EVERY year on the news) but a bowling outing would probably work. From the posts Mac has made on the subject though and the discussion yesterday on the show, seems like something went down that really got him fed up about the whole thing. Which is a shame because it really is for a good cause.

Depends on how wild the game of bags gets, and how pissed of Chris's wife gets.

I don't know Coach.
There is a precedent out there that can be used against your argument.
Not one drunken Red Sox fan has fallen off the green monster in 2+ years.
Who wudda thunk that?

Why don't you just do one of those booze cruises that the Loop did in the early '90s with a bus full of listeners hitting bar after bar?

I ran afoul of one of those one night nearly getting in a fight with Danny Bonaduce at Bootleggers while Brandmeier was dancing "sans pants" across the room.

It was quite an evening.

It's for charity, you can make a donation and not go on an outing.

I still say a night at live theatre would be a big hit. I think the Knute Rockne play has left Munster. However, buying out the theatre for that play about the first Mayor Daley could be fun.

I'm actually planning a charter trip this summer with the old man and my brother. Waiting for some rainbow trout action.
