Yeah I'm not letting him kick beyond 50 in overtime unless there is 7 seconds left. Fuck what he did in warm ups.

I still do not understand why you settle for a 50+ field goal in OT. You gotta be trying to get it under 40 yds. If you do that and the kicker misses the kick then that is all on the kicker. But if you fail to get them into a closer range the fault lies on the coach. Nagy has to do better. Nagy gets 50% of the blame for this loss.

The D gets the other 50%. No way can the defense play like that. They were awful for stretches against a bum QB with a terrible o line.

I am not putting any blame on Mitch. He had a couple bad throws, but he also showed some growth. He has what 9 TDs and 1 INT in his last 2 games. If you say before the game that they get 28 pts then we would all be pretty confident that they win the game.

RFDC nailed it. Loss is all on Nagy.

No it's mostly on the Bears D. If you give up 30+ to Brock Osweiler you deserve to lose and your defense is the cause of it.

A lot of it is. He gets into weird mindsets.

He's Mr. Aggressive, but suddenly he clams up and plays for a 50-yard field goal? And he didn't even have the RB center the ball. Maybe wutshisnuts likes it on the right hash, but he missed wide right.

He also doesn't know when to keep going to the well. When Howard is gashing a defense, you keep giving him the rock. That is his ONLY value. If you are going to just give it to him intermittently, he is useless and you might as well trade him.

The defense was bad, but having a bye week early in the year and immediately heading to Miami is a tall fuxking order. It is a myth that a team is "better rested" after a bye. They might be healthier, but you also lose some of your conditioning.

Today was an anomaly for the D.

The defense is sure to lose conditioning when the head coach gives them every single day of the bye week off.

I wasn't wrong. He's a fast guy. They are a dime a dozen. If the vaunted Bears D could tackle worth a fuck Miami wouldn't have scored more than 17.

Yeah, Ideally you have a couple mildly rigorous practices in there, IMO.

Nagy bragged about how smart his bye week preparation was. Couldn't tell the media enough about it.

Sort of like how he said "I have to limit my playcalling for (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky"...well Mitch is 9/1 TD/INT these last two games with a combined QB rating in the 140's. So excuse time is fucking over for some of the idiotic bullshit Nagy does.

I have heard many in the media saw how refreshing it is to cover a Matt Nagy press conference because he gives such thoughtful answers.

I wonder how refreshing they found today's post-game press conference when he acted like quite the douche?

I just watched a clip of the press conference, so maybe I missed something bigger, but Nagy was asked about the 3rd and 4 play in OT and stuck by his play call, saying "if we take a sack there you're up my ass wondering why we didn't run the ball".

That would be valid if they were on the 20 or the 10.

Wait so he's worried about what the media will say when he calls plays?

Fire him.

Move him to OC and bring in Lindsey Graham at head coach.

I trust (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky to get 4 yards and a first down a lot more than I trust Parkey to make a 50 yard FG. I'm sure he consistently made them from that distance pregame but the pressure of overtime is different. It was a shitty snap too.
