This is a statement game for a team that has playoff ambitions. I actually feel better about this game now because they lost yesterday.

We need a better Mack.

The guys around him have to step up. You can't depend on him to get sacks and force fumbles every game.

Was there any talk yesterday about something other than tired and the heat? Like he was ill or hurt?

Your post from the other thread works here too.

The Bears just got tape on how the Patriots defense plays against a similar offense and Belichick isn't in Nagy's head the way he's in Reid's. Plus the Bears defense is better than the Chiefs defense in every way.

Fatigue and Gase's familiarity with Fangio's defense.

Gronk scares me because of Trevathan's repeated struggles in coverage. Toliver being forced into action scares me too. I really love Callahan and wish he was given the opportunity to be more than a nickel back.

In my mind you always have to go one way or another against the Pats. You either know Mack and company are on fire and Brady gets zero time. Or you have to pick your poison and have a nickle corner on Gronk all day.

Roquan will shut down Gronk.

Yeah you probably have to put Callahan on Gronk.

If Mack is healthy, the Bears win this one running away.

Even if he isn't hopefully someone besides Hicks decides to earn their paycheck. Floyd has been worthless.

Floyd sucks.

The Pat's have not won a road game and have looked like shit in every road game. They are two different teams.

Why are we starting these threads so far in advance? This is a trend I do not like.

This isn't the game day thread. Historically I started a thread on Monday to discuss the upcoming match up and then I started the game day thread on the day of the game.

Sometimes your posts disappoint me and this is one of them. I don't expect good dolphin to go Hank Scorpio. This Patriots team is beatable. Especially at home.

Let's hope their statement isn't "We suck."

I love an optimistic TM. This is progress.

I would feel better about this game if I knew Mack was going to be reasonably healthy.

I would too but this Patriots team feels like it's different. Especially on the road.

There is no doubt this is a bit of a letdown game for the Pats after being at home the last three weeks. Their D is soft. This is a good spot for the Bears.

Bears are gonna lose by 20. Belichick never loses to QB's under 25.

the meatball needs a little kick to roll down hill

Bears just gave up 30 to Brock Osweiler. Give me my moment of skepticism

Always happens. Backups always kill the Bears (a lot of teams have the same problems). I think it's because it's hard to gameplan, and the backup's thought processes are probably simplified. They just go out and play. It wouldn't work over time, but it works for a game or two. Plus Osweiller was once pretty successful.

Even with everything that went wrong yesterday they were still in position to win the game multiple times.

There are way more positives than negatives to take from the game yesterday.

It's great you guys think the Bears even have a chance, but they don't. Anyone else and I'd say the Bears would be in a position for a bounce back but Belichick has the Big Blue Machine chugging again.
