Agreed. But I’m over it, refs missed some calls that could have gone against (or for) the Bears all game tbh. I don’t think I saw an offensive lineman on either team called for holding in this game and I felt like the Bears D line got mugged consistently by Miami’s O-line in this game.. tho to be fair Miami’s D line might have been getting mugged too, but I really wasn’t watching them as closely..

Another thing about this game -and some other games we’ve seen by the Bears- Fangio has to get better and more consistent with dialing up blitz packages. You have some monsters in your front 7 and settle for 4 rushing way way too often. He did this a lot in the GB game too. I know blitzing isn’t his thing, but has to get better. You went out and got a game changer like Mack for a reason. Use that and dial some shit up at critical points in the game. Stop relying on his talent alone to make it happen all the time.

Personally if I was a Bears fan, I'd focus on the better downfield and rhythm throws Trubinsky has made strides in. But the Patriots game wouldn't be one I'd want to watch.

No doubt

A fellow fan and I were talking about the influence of refs influencing the point spread and BAMMO this play happened. This play basically CINCHED THE POINT SPREAD and the refs were paid off and stopped it. It was fucking obvious. THE refs absolutely controlled the point spread in this game.

He has gotten better there for sure. He still makes some really bad throws too tho. Still, he is showing that he can play, which is awesome.

Meh, not worried about the Pats. Infact, we need games like this to know if the Bears are for real. Fuck the Dolphins -you need to beat the top dogs like Brady, Rodgers, and Brees to prove you’re for real imo. I’m excited for the Pats game, just as I’m excited for the 2nd Bears/Packers game.

We're still in 1st place but next week is a statement game. The offense has to show up in the first half and limit turnovers and the defense has to prove they're as good as we think they are.

The defense still made plays. They got tossed the fuck around but managed to force three turnovers. So even in a terrible effort that has really scarred the way I think about a few players (Floyd, Amos and Goldman especially) they did some things to give their team a chance.

How do you have the ball in a tie game with 30 seconds on the clock and you just kneel it. That was awful.

They were on their own 6 yard line with one timeout. Mia had 2. That did not bother me.

The defense will get back to where they were. This game was just weird. I don't think it's a trend... unless Mack is hurt worse than we think.

If Nagy doesn't improve they are doomed. It may not cost them the playoffs but it eventually will bite them.

I did not catch the Nagy presser; Was he asked why he ran the ball five straight times at the end?

Schuster asked I think.

Nagy said because you (Schu) touch yourself at night.

Maybe the 4mil per year kicker can make a tough kick in perfect condition?

The sky point after the miss was cute

The holder had trouble with the snap and put the ball down late and off line. I can't blame the kicker for that miss.

You can't blame the guy who kicked the ball that did not go through the uprights?

Asking Parkey to hit a 50+ yarder in a game-winning situation is about the same odds as a hail mary.

I think one of the biggest issues is America jinxed the Bears by starting this thread with the wrong date for the game.

He pushed the kick. It was never between the uprights. It was wide right from 53, it would have been wide right from 50, 45, or 35. He had plenty of leg to make it from 58.

Right size, wrong shape.

I'm overall happy with the Bear's progress. Yeah defense sucked vs Miami.. Mitch is making great strides. Cohen is great. Nagy is still learning he'll get better. The kick had the leg.. My game pizza was delicious. Too early to be attacking the team. This era will be fun with foxy gone. And there's no crazy Joe and 100ba Cubs postseason 28 mil a yearJahey!

Not the first person to say "Nagy is learning".

I can accept a QB learning, or another rookie "learning. Head Coach? that's just not acceptable. He's not very good.

Exactly. And if he didn't "learn" after week one it's simply not happening.

Blaming Nagy for the loss is bullshit. He didn't fumble the ball. He didn't throw an interception. He didn't call non-existent penalties in order to win the point spread betting. He didn't fuck up the hold on the field goal.

Does the "buck stop with Nagy"? Sure but to blame him for an over-time loss when all of the above happened to them is total crap.

THey clearly are playing the hardest part of their schedule and this is a HUGE game for the Bears. It could be a season deciding game. The Miami game was important and they blew it. They lost that game just like they lost the GB game. Clearly they were the better team in those two game and they blew it. I'm not saying that the season is over if they lose but if they want to be recognized as a very good team, beating the Patriots is important.

It is a must-win game that they have 0% chance of winning. Shouldn't have blown two of their first five games. Oops.
