I’ll mark it down and won’t be surprised when it doesn’t come to fruition.

No chance. He's the new face of the station.

I listened to the podcast. A few things.

1. Larry is the weirdest guy at the station. Creepier than Les and just weird. I don't twitter much, but I gave him a compliment a few years ago and he blocked me? Never have been blocked, but by Larry and from a compliment? I honestly don't get it.

2. You wonder how much was "shtick" or "staged" for that does make good radio. Do they really dislike each other or did they want to make so radio gold yesterday for the station. Being a Stern fan(well before Howard became Hollywood Howy) he was the best at not knowing what was shtick and what was real.

3. Last one, I get it that Parkins is basically still a kid, but his lack of music knowledge is the worst I ever heard. That combined with not knowing Mike Tyson's punch out song? Thought that was universally known. Point to Larry there.

Mike Tyson's Punch-Out is before Parkins' time.

i think it was absolutely genuine. the way larry paused before he threw down the gauntlet. that didn't come off as staged at all.

with stern, everything is staged now. aggravatingly so.

I didn't recognize the Punch Out music and I played it in the arcade all the time.

Just sounded like general Nintendo Mario music to me.

No....Larry genuinely hates Parkins...what is staged is when Parkins says he doesn’t understand where the vitriol comes from...i.e...Larry being passed over again for the drive time slot.

I agree. If this type of behavior was uncharacteristic of Leery it could have possibly been staged, but since this is typical of Leery I think it was legitimate.

Great radio. Listened to the podcast . Its all Larry pissy Parkins talking Goffs spot and Larry remaining in shit spot on schedule coming to a head. Probably a white privilege race issue too that Julie harps on. Probably first and last time these 2 will be must listen radio together. Larry came off really bad. Not a Parkins fan but I was impressed how he stood up for himself. Even sleeping Mac supporting chiming in from coma.

Getting Julie involved directly would just make it that most tasty. Too bad she's not part of transition.

Do a pay per view round table discussion with Julie, Parkins, Larry, Goff, speigel, Mac. Let it all hang out, clear the air No holds barred, cussing allowed. Michael buffer announces participants. The prince of pugilism Al Bernstein mid round analysis.

+1

But that's a funny listen if only for the fact that Sir name dropped Steve Smith Srs' kid from a soccer team at DePaul.

Good thing you’re above rampant speculation on things you’re not directly involved in huh ?

Today's tranny was uneventful, just some talk about men's clothing. Mac is up to a 38 waist. Parkins has trouble finding clothes due to his scoliosis. Lerry doesn't wear a belt (cinching apparently not good for Crone's) and claimed he has a long torso.

Exactly. It wasn't like someone was walking by a conference room and "overheard" the exchange.

It was on a 50 thousand watt radio station!
