Exactly. It wasn't like someone was walking by a conference room and "overheard" the exchange.

It was on a 50 thousand watt radio station!

She is as big of an idiot as Larry is.

And Parkins is a white male, she hates him, so there is that.

Definitely an embarrassing segment for Holmes. Even if he's got a point, he came across as an angry, unprofessional red-ass. Parkins shined.

And her whole "Yeah this is internal station business" like she's in on the boys club stance she's taking is laughable. She's roundly despised there by most and barely tolerated in general. She's trying to cape for Leery because he's rightly getting slammed for being a pissy little bitch and he sort of defends her so she's trying to return the favor by attempting to delegitimize any criticism of him by going with " You don't know the story " bullshit.

My god, it would be difficult to script a conversation less interesting than what you just described. Were they trying to induce mass suicide among their listening audience?

That was positively scintillating compared to hearing McKnight talk about anything related to his life..or sports, or...

They reeled me in live after yesterdays podcast. In the car driving and that might have been the worst radio transition ever today.

No talk of sports, but of getting fitted for a suit. Quite possibly the worst radio I have ever listened to.

So back to podcast if I hear something good from this website.

when larry first said how it was working out for Parkins, doing what he does...oh man, he tried to dip down into that hood level enunciation he tosses around when he works with Briggs or Peanut calls in. legitimately one of the fakest individuals ive ever listened to in my life.

"again, you have my number."

Fuck. You. since when does anyone need permission to discuss something that was distributed on a public platform? Or even just said? Parkins nailed it when he reminded Laurence that he plays their material all the time for his show (since that's all his show is - recycled interviews). what a bitch Holmes is.

It was on the radio, Julie.

Even given her famous lack of awareness thats a pretty unbelievable tweet

She doesn't seem to understand that it is GOOD that people are writing about it on Twitter. The bosses may pretend they don't like it, but they do. Mac absolutely loves it.

First off, credit to Laurence for not turning physical and throwing Parkins through the glass window

Secondly, Laurence felt blind-sided, he was ready for 15 mins of Mike Tyson Punch Out music talk and got redirected by Mac. Mac even interrupted him to say let's get to the main event.

Third, this is just a case of two supremely talented and handsomely compensated radio guys letting their competitive nature take over for a brief moment.

Honestly, it wasnt as crazy as you guys made it sound, imo. It was slightly awkward, but not on par with the great awkward moments in chicago radio history

You knew this transition was going to be a special one when Larry was looking for engagement on his Punch Out take...appearantly he doesn’t understand that a 58 year man who has never spoken about video games in his radio life and a 32 year old, who was a year old when the game was red hot, would have zero to say about it. Larry probably felt embarrassed and possibly that was the spark that lit the match.

Larry needs to understand that you can’t talk video games, comic books, Herculean athletic accomplishments (sarcasm) and which women “are going to get it” and expect to be given the afternoon drive shift in the third largest market. It’s just not going to happen. If he is still pissy about it (appearantly) stop taking the 1-2 year contracts from your boss/agent and go find that afternoon drive slot somewhere else.

koach klaus has been taking a hit off of Michael Phelps' bong!

(Although technically mid-day =/= afternoon drive, still, it's not like they didn't try to SHAKE THAT during a proper "prime time" shift a long time ago in a galaxy far far away)

Even "can't do it" is losing its luster. On 10/17 Parkins wouldn't go into detail on an old beef he had with Larry. Mac wouldn't choose who was more professional- Parkins or Larry. Mac wiggled out of Ray Durham dirt playing dumb. Most lame icdi segment I've heard.

Where are the people that tell Larry he sounded like an ass hole? That he messed up. Not just this episode, but anything he's done. Anybody at the SCORE do that? No. They all tell him he's great.

That's what I don't get. Because we all have friends like that that check us when we fuck up. Family or friends.

But Larry doesn't have that because he's set it up that way. Meaning people he knows are scared to check him. Which is amazing. It means you have no true friends. Larry has set it up in his life to where if you criticize him, even if constructive and right, he thinks you are racist or you are a hater.

Herb backed him right away as we saw. Julie did the same. When Joe O was his producer you could tell he had to bite his tongue with Larry out of fear that Larry would think he's a racist. They're all trained to do so with him because of the vibe he gives off. He'll block you on twitter if you so much as question anything he says. I know he has a brother and his mom and dad, of course. Nobody in his life tells him he's a weirdo/jerk? Not even his fake wife? That's strange to me.

Larry truly is a troubled person that needs counseling. He'll never realize it.

You need to have friends and or family that tell you when you're in the wrong. Larry doesn't have that. Which means he has no true friends.

Right. But he thinks we're all racist ass holes. Other than "Elmhurst Steve", it's just not true. Larry is allowed to hate Steve as we all do.

That's how Larry goes through life. You're either with him or you're racist. Parkins realized this truth a couple of days ago.

Give credit to someone for not turning physical for, at the worst, a minor disrespect? You have a very low bar for giving credit. And for the record, I don't think Parkins did anything wrong other than not anticipating Holmes completely blowing it out of proportion.

I wonder if some of Holmes anger with Parkins is that he can't use the race card against him because Parkins is the quintessential SJW - he's got a forcefield of racial immunity surrounding him and if race is your go to, like it was with Goff but you can't use it then I can see why he's frustratrated.
