This sounds dope as hell

https://www.theringer.com/nba/2018/10/1 ... ve-ballmer

Quote:
Wednesday, the Los Angeles Clippers and the sports technology company Second Spectrum launched Clippers CourtVision. When talking about technology, it’s easy to get lost in keywords and hyperbole, but this could be a new way of watching basketball. CourtVision uses machine learning, data visualization, and augmented reality to enhance the broadcast. It offers a variety of different camera angles and audio commentary options. You can even watch the game with in-arena sound, which makes your couch feel like a seat in the lower bowl of Staples Center.

This is dystopian and I am honestly appalled that anyone would want to consume a game this way. Mascot mode is offensive. It may be the most offensive thing in history.

I think Ted Kaczynski may have been right.

Like the article says, I think Mascot mode is just for little kids. I can't see the appeal of it to an adult.

The rest of it sounds pretty cool.

you can even buy one quarter of one game on league pass.

Rumor has it they have a combo where you can get 1 quarter of a game along with 1 rib and 1 sip of Pepsi.

Mascot mode seems like it’s made for children, with thunderbolts striking after made 3-pointers or a dime dropping following an assist. It’s cute, and a bit gimmicky. But I can see the appeal for adult fans who want a unique, late-night viewing experience.

Hey You! You think you know what its like to watch the NBA?! Well I bet you haven't thought about what its like to watch our totally fair and of course hotly contused league with actual Jew balls in your mouth. Well now with GoyVision™ you can watch the Warriros steamroll their hapless opponents and be fucked in the face like the stupid goy you are. We know how much you stupid goyim liked our mobbed-up referees and draft """lottery""", so we decided we'd finally go all the way and give you that true experience you've been waiting for.

Worst thing he ever did was give the NHL his underling Gary Bettman.

I think the worst thing he did was rig three decades of basketball and set the stage for today's modern era where outwardly rigging the games isn't even necessary anymore, but I can see how you feel that way.

Nah, Stern at least believed in every market having a reason to come out and see the games. He wanted a star in every town. I don't think the same can be said for Adam Silver.

What do you think Silver can realistically do to prevent Superteams?

If any of the games/seasons were rigged the Knicks wouldn't be one of the worst teams in the league for two decades. I think DB may be right.

There is video evidence of them rigging a draft so the Knicks could take Ewing.

Whatever, the ref came out and said the league is fixed. You chose to ignore that because you have this suspension of disbelief that the NBA is a real sports league? Fine. You and Bethlehem Shoals can keep watching regular season NBA games wondering which side the mob fixed the game for thinking that you're actually watching high art rather than WWE. But dont insult the intelligence of the rest of us.

I'm not, you're doing that to yourself. It's hard to claim any type of intellectual high ground when you think a sports league has been fixed for decades and somehow it just hasn't gotten out.

video evidence

It has gotten out. All the evidence is out there. THE REF SAID ITS FIXED. What more do you want? Adam Silver to hold an unprompted conciliatory press conference admitting that yes, pretty much the entire league is a lie?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bX1kMlG8c7Y

Dude come the fuck on. That shit is blatant. I cannot believe they thought they'd get away with it.

Oh shit, well the convicted felon said it was fixed and even though no investigative journalist has been able to corroborate that I guess that's all we need.

Stop acting like a clown. This is really just you throwing an extended tantrum in a NBA thread because you don't like the NBA. You're not the first to do it and you won't be the last.

"Excuse me Mr Popovich, which season of the Wire do you think most reminds you of last night's game against Clippers and why is it definitely season 3? Btw I'll give you $20 for your socks and can you please tell me the league isn't fixed so my editor leaves me alone."

The only answer is contract teams. But obviously that's not going to happen.

Realistically being the operative word in my post. League would still be very top heavy even with contraction though. It's always been. It's inherent to the sport itself.
