Bullcrap. The two interceptions were functions of great plays by the secondary of the Pats. He missed some open passes, yes. But he also kept this team in the game with his feet. He is doing fine for a 2nd year qb. Very fine.

I'd say this loss could be pinned on Fangio and special teams, not on the offense.

Fixed it for ya

True but those were two plays where Brady was getting the back. While you cant say for sure both possessions would've ended up in TD's he moved the ball pretty easy all day. 2 additional drives would have left much less much left time on the clock for the Bears to do anything as well.

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky didn't have a great game but he played well enough to win with. There were a ton of drops and Bellamy's effort cost them important plays. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky had over 400 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Our ST gave up 14 points and our defense couldn't stop the Patriots offense until the Patriots stopped trying. Someone needs to question Fangio.

Where is the running game? Howard only appears capable of getting 2 yards. They have to make (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky's job a little easier.

Nagy had a few brain farts.

We win this game if (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky was more accurate. He missed too many guys that were open that could have gone for points.

The Patriots executed better and were better coached. Nagy failed coaching 101 at the end of the 1st half. No excuse not to go for the kick.

Bottom line is that the Bears were out-classed. Brady completed passes at will with little or no pressure.

The Pats didn’t move the ball at will -they were inconsistent all day with some odd plays of their own. And that was against almost Zero pass rush. This is a50/50 game without those ST gaffs. The Pats are the favored team going into this game without question, and they were lucky to leave with a W against a young team playing poorly today.

I think this shows the Bears have enough talent atm to be dangerous against anyone, they need to build consistency and rhythm tho. And that’s both the coaches and players. I’m giving this a chance because how ‘new’ all the most important pieces are -the HC, QB, and star pass rusher they traded for prior to the 1st game.

They certainly were not "outclassed". They were in this game all the way and were short ONE YARD in tying the game. We win this game if a couple of breaks go their way. The game really was a toss-up.

I'm not making the defense the main culprit in today's loss; they only gave up 24 points to a Brady-led offense. Special teams was the worst aspect. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky missing throws and making bad decisions in the red zone that could have led to INTs. Need to run more; if they are so worried about the pass rush affecting (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky, mixing in more runs and using play action will slow down that pass rush. Also allows the defense to get rest if the running game is effective. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky has shown potential; he needs another off-season of working on his mechanics and studying film. Floyd needs to step up and provide pass rush with Mack limited because of injury. The defense needs to tackle better. Put White on the field and if he is not showing anything at all, cut him because he doesn't contribute to the special teams and he is just taking up a roster spot at that point. They are way better than last year; they are staying in games, showing fight and coming back in most of the games. The team just needs a little more talent on both sides and they will be a contender.

At the end of the day games like this are ‘measuring stick’ games for young teams like the Bear. You can’t make too many mistakes against a well coached team helmed by a veteran future HoF QB like the Pats, those types of teams will always find a way to scratch out a win in close games like this and will take what they can get even if they’re having an average day.

The Bears are still too young to know how to stay on the hip of a team in a close game then time their jump just at the right moment to get ahead and leave with the W. What we as fans have to hope for, is that they figure that part out -they’ve already got the not giving up and keeping it close part down in games like this. They just need to learn how to finish, and typically that’s an experience thing, having been there multiple times.

Guys got a point. I mean, why isn’t Mack huffing a paper bag of angel dust before the game and fighting CPD naked in the parking lot prior to warm ups?

It wasn't even a caller. It was some ex-player talking about getting shot up with novocaine.

I was happy that they didn't fall for the fake Brady calling out the WR play. If they would have, that's all you would see tonight on SportsCenter.

Guy would have more of an argument if Mack didn’t even suit up. Also, how does this dude know what Mack was or wasn’t given prior to the game? Some people..

Last weeks loss pisses me off more than today. Most of us expected them to lose today. They should be 4-2 right now.

But 3-3 is about right. This team is still probably a 8-8, 9-7 team. I will take it considering how god awful they were last year.

Hell yes. Usually by week 10, I was done with the team and would be happy to exchange watching the game for a nap.

Agreed, but the defense is really disappointing. It sucks that Mack is so good that he was making everyone else look way better. And I don't care what anyone says - a dominating defense is more fun to watch than a high-flying offense.

I've calmed down from earlier and agree there are definitely positives.

Mitch made some mistakes but he played an okay game overall.

Special teams and the defense cost the Bears the game.

Not giving Jordan Howard a big contract in the offseason looks like a genius move.

The Bears will get fat on bad teams and then face the Lions.

I mean, when you're playing a Bill Belichick team and you have a blocked punt and a kickoff return for a touchdown, You're simply not going to win. No team in the league can overcome that against Brady and the Patriots.

I'm not placing the loss entirely on the defense but they've sucked the past 2 weeks against teams with injuries to key players.

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky looked like Mahomes did last week against the Patriots. Very uneven but productive enough to win with. I could live without all of the shitty throws too but every quarterback not named Brady/Rodgers/Brees pretty much does the same thing weekly.

This offense has to pass because Howard hasn't been good. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky's recent improvement makes me believe that they could be the best offense in the NFC if Howard pulls his head out of his ass.

Yes. With Mack on the field, Leonard Floyd should finally be sacking the QB. And he is not. I've finally accepted that he's just not real good.
