Not sure this one means much, but can't hurt Apple to get a change of scenery and join a real football team.

Man that 2016 draft blows after the top 5(yeah there are some hits, random), but shit, nobody worth a damn after that. Both corners after Ramsey suck

I am not one of the 100 or so people in the world who has a firm understanding of the NFL's salary cap but I'm sure that if the Jaguars, Raiders and Carr himself all wanted to make the deal happen there would be way.

Carr has undeniable talent and has displayed that he works hard enough and has to mental acuity to play the position at a high level. That right there puts him in a class with about 15-20 people in the world, give or take. Jacksonville's defense isn't good enough to carry them in the regular season. Hell, nobody's defense is good enough to carry anymore. We have finally hit the breaking point where the rules and schemes have become so in favor of the offense that even your best NFL defense is really only going to get you a few turnovers and maybe a handful of big stops. We'll see if that holds in the playoffs (my guess is defense will be back in a big way by playoff time).

But those defenses that might be able to show up in the playoffs? Jacksonville, Chicago and Dallas are all in this position though where the playoffs are not guaranteed. I would say all three are likely on the outside looking in right now. Chicago's position most dire because they are in a strong division, but Jacksonville is not doing much better. How much longer can the Jags really have also? Calais Campbell, their best player, is finally starting to decline and they are going to have a crunch where paying Jack and Ramsey both would be possible. Carr isn't a title winning QB but he is a guy who can do enough to will a talented group around him to the playoffs, and if Jacksonville makes the playoffs they have a good enough defense to make some noise and fuck with people.

Saints have limited draft capital after the Davenport deal and not a ton of cap room. Just scrounging around for talent they think they can get cheap. Apple isnt bad.

i remember his one interception back in 2016, it was magical. Landon Collins was right about this guy from day one when he called him out. hopefully more purging to come for the Giants.

Utlimately I think Carr goes to the Jags for a 2019 1st and 2020 2nd. More to it than just that, maybe another player headed to Jacksonville and there will need to be some work done by the Raiders to make the money happen, but the reward will be a strong enough motivating factor to get it done for them. Would Oakland be willing to take back Bortles?

Jackonsville meanwhile pushes all their chips in for this season and next season, which is what they should be doing anyways. Its a steep price, people will go crazy, but you think about what Jacksonville really needs and Carr is exactly that. They dont have the time to draft and develop a QB in this coming draft.

This may take until the off-season to happen but honestly Jacksonville should be making this deal right now. Tyrod Taylor isn't going to save them.

The way it's written it makes it seem like he wasn't chased out of the home but instead left begrudgingly after being smacked with a household appliance like a disobedient dog.

Yes he was a mess and left Clemson. Then went to JC for a year before heading to Ole Miss.

Horrible comparison.

David Carr hasn't thrown an NFL pass in six years.

New 2019 Mock Draft gives Raiders 3 star players

Now that the Oakland has completed the Amari Cooper trade to Dallas, the Raiders will own three first-round picks in the 2019 NFL Draft. While the season hasn’t exactly gone as planned, the second season, draft season, should be fun for Raiders’ fans.

A recent first-round mock draft from DraftWire will give Raiders’ fans an idea as to what caliber of players they may be able to select this April. If the season started today, the Raiders would own three top-17 picks in the 2019 NFL Draft. Here are the three selections the Raiders made in this mock draft:

No.4 – EDGE Clelin Ferrell, Clemson

No.10 – Linebacker Devin White, LSU

No.17 – Wide Receiver A.J. Brown, Mississippi

All three of these picks are players who could come right in and be starters for the Raiders. Pass-rusher Clelin Ferrell is one of the more well-rounded defenders in this class and would make sense opposite of Arden Key. Linebacker Devin White has every trait you would want from a star inside linebacker. He would help shore up one of the weakest positions on the Raiders’ roster. Receiver A.J. Brown may be the best receiver in the class and would give the Raiders size on the outside.

We will continue to monitor the mock drafts here at The Raiders Wire as well as preview every single possible pick for Oakland come April. The fun is just starting in Oakland.

They are going to go crazy loading up on offensive weapons then sell the farm for Tua next year, or if they are lucky pick 1.1 and build some sort of crazed offensive juggernaut.

Might as well hit someone with a couch cushion or throw an orange at their head.

If social media was around in the 80s, the 85 Bears would have been fucked, the entire team.
