It's been nearly two and a half months that they've been promoting Steve Stone's color commentary for White Sox games. At what point does everyone who needs to know, already know? It's been talked about in the papers and on the Internet to great extents. I'm pretty sure most sports fans in Chicago know by now that the White Sox radio team comprises Ed Farmer and now Steve Stone. Die sox white fans don't care; they're listening anyway. Casual fans have most certainly checked out the new team and possibly stuck with them. Cub fans have ventured over to hear Stoney as well. What's left to be said? For how many more weeks do we need to hear

I can't agree with you more! It's been about 6 weeks or so since Steve Stone joined Ed Farmer in the 670 The "SCORE"/White Sox Radio Network broadcast booth, yet WSCR continues to air that burly voiceover promoting "the new White Sox radio broadcast team on The SCORE" over and over again! If that's not enough, the voice of SportsRadio 670 is now telling us about Steve's new Web site, which I believe is SteveStone.com. There's also that rotating SCORE billboard promoting Ed & Steve at U.S. Cellular Field during White Sox home games. I think we get it now. The time has come to retire those promos, including the ones at the Sox game. It's also time for all SCORE hosts & reporters to start identifying themselves as "670 The SCORE" or "The SCORE SportsRadio 670". Is that too much to ask?

I like Stone, but have a hard time listening because Ed Farmer predicts a home run for nearly every WSox at bat. I'm not even sure he realizes that he's doing that, but it's very annoying.

My favorite is when they're losing, and he says "get a couple baserunners here and jack a 3 run HR and we're only down a slam"

Farmer did predict Carlos Quentin's home run last night, saying something to the effect that if the pitcher makes a mistake, he'll hit it out....In the 5 other minutes that I heard, he predicted at least one other HR, but I hope I don't hear any advertisements giving Farmer credit for this, or any hosts saying how smart he is.

Well, when you predict a home run for every batter, you're going to have to be right now and then...
