As CH has said they usually stop playing after the New Year but I have enjoyed the first few weeks of the season. Good games.

Hawks did exactly what they had to do against a wretched Rags team that's Lundqvist and shit else. I wouldn't call it a burn-the-tape game, more of a put-the-tape-on-a-high-shelf-and-let-it-gather-dust game. I'm glad Fortin is putting pucks in the net, that's a plus. I was super-high on him a few preseasons ago when he was tearing it up but went back to the Q anyway. I love when we find guys under the radar and I love when we can get anyone from the poor dying Q.

Fortin is very fast in person and he just disrupts like a motherfucker

I just love Toews breaking poor Ranger Dman ankles for that 1st period goal.

Cool, I got on tv. If you look above the interviewer's head during Crawford's #1 star interview, I was wearing the away sweater.

Nothing like a couple dreadful teams to help the Hawks feel better about themselves.

Looking forward to another St/Chi matchup this Saturday. The Blues have started playing better except for their dreadful goaltending.

Tomorrow night may be the knockout blow for old Mike Yeo if the Hawks can hang another big number on Allen (they gave up seven last night). Second in command is Craig Berube and we know what a dumbass he is, so that would help us out a lot.

Hawks have been a lot more competitive than I thought. They are moving the puck well, and the young talent is coming along. Also, Crawford looks surprisingly good (very little rust). Given that the Bulls are injury struck, the Hawks may be worthy of significant attention this winter.

Had a great time last night. First time at the UC for a Hawks game in like 3 years. Last year's sour taste seems to have stuck with people and kept ticket prices depressed or maybe the Hawks are forgotten with Bears being OK. Either way, works for me.

Although the Hawks went for 0-5 they look alright on a few of the power plays. Still way too much dancing and shuffling along the perimeter. I believe it was the 3rd PP where Toews (mebbe?) received a pass near the net and just went hard at the goalie. A ruckus ensued and near-score. Need more of that.

Had my brother’s seats for the game and took my daughter. Attendance was a bit down. Always fun going but getting home at 1 is getting a little tougher. The rangers are awful.

I will do my best to make that happen

DAC was right after all about the Blues becoming likable: I really like them out of the playoffs

Once again, you're misquoting me. I wrote "St Louis doesn’t have the hate-ability they’ve had in the past."

If it’s any consolation, Backes has concussed his way out of Boston‘s lineup, and Shattenkirk’s laboring with the window-slammed-shut-quicker-than-the-Blackhawks Rangers.

I heard the Whatever We're Calling The Kiel Center This Year had some work done over the summer. Is it impressive, or just impressive for St. Louis?

That was quick. 1-0 STL 18 seconds into the game.

No, it's Crawford. It was bad defense that led to the Blues goal.

1-1 now.

Gonna need to trade for reinforcements on defense by Thanksgiving. I'd start keeping an eye on Florida.

He's gonna do that. He's 19 years old. But how much safer is Forsling going to be when he gets back?

Not much. Hopefully Murphy bumps Manning into a healthy scratch.
