Jansen continues to choke in the big moment. Twice last year vs the Astros and twice this year vs the BSox.

I forgot who the Cubs poster here was bitching how they needed to get Jansen last year. Hell w/ that. Glad they didnt.

Each of the slew of la relievers gave up at least one run. Hill has been consistently screwed over by Roberts. Wonder if these starters let loose when they retire and can be honest?

One thing relievers have going is not being seen a lot. Seems all relievers in postseason get rocked eventually when teams see them almost every game in a short series. Happened with la & Cleveland bullpenning.

This should surprise no one. Boston isnt just the better team, they are by far the better team. This should've been a sweep.

ya it's obvious. it's just would have been fun to watch to see a lesser team compete and win like game 3.

Did I miss a game last series or did Hill not pitch at all in the NLDS?

Historically, teams that take a 3-1 series lead go on to win the series 84.5 percent of time. It's 86.7 percent of the time in the World Series. The Red Sox now have three chances to win one game. Only once during the regular season did Boston lose three straight games

Couple big ifs but IF Kershaw can sack up then that Jackaroo Korean dude gets then to a game 7 when they throw Beuller/ Hill, I could see that Dodgers winning it.

La radio postgame says relievers saying they're fatigued from overuse.

Last thing any of those fucks should be saying is that they're tired. Its the World fucking Series. Goose Gossage was right. These players today are all fucking pussies.

Yeah.. Whoever won the NL was getting steam rolled by Boston or Houston. If that show off douche doesn't unnecessarily dive into the stands and Kinsler takes his time on a routine throw from 2nd..its a sweep.

If Rich Hill said that, and I'm the manager, I'd say, "yeah, we all are. Your curveball is breaking 2-1/2 feet and our relievers drank 4 pots of coffee just to make it out to the bullpen. So whaddya say you get me 2 more outs and we'll talk again in the dugout"

From LA Times;
"So Roberts apparently thought Hill was telling him he was tired. But afterward, though Hill acknowledged asking Roberts to watch him, he said he felt fine."

Fuck that. I was a sniper in Nam and if the MLB ever institutes a ghost runner, Ima paintball that runner right in the ass. Leave the time limit to the shit games. What's killing baseball is that it's a rich kid sport and the fact that tastes change over time. But don't go fucking with the rules.

I heart your other posts, though, Deacon. And I still think Warren Newson must have had the thickest wang out there.

Thanks. I haven't heard any Warren Newson wang stories, although Mac is usually good for those type of things. Somebody should call into the show and ask Mac for the list of biggest wangs he's seen in his years covering sports.

Who gives a shit. Jansen's tired too. They're all tired. Hill's being dominant, so pitch goddamit. It's not like he's a 22 yr old phenom who needs protecting.

Game's on ... Boston two batters, up 2-0 on Kershaw.

Kershaw choking in the postseason ... methinks I've seen that somewhere before.
