This is why you don't bitch about style points in wins.

This nonsense about being a last place team in this division is just that, nonsense. It is between they and the Vikings for the division championship. The key for them is getting Mack back to health and back to having the best defense in the NFC. IF that happens, they win the division at probably 10-6. If not, then it is a possibility that 9-7 or 9-6-1 can win the division.

IMU is a Vikings fan, so yes, he would be happy that his team's division rival has lost two games in a row. Fucking genius.

Yes..the Bears would be in first based on a better winning percentage....571 to .562 for the Vikings if they lose to the Saints.

How concerned about that are you really?

He's a good player. It's a downgrade no matter what they do but is it that big of a downgrade? I'm not too worried.

Daniels looks good.

Losing the best player on the line is major. I'm sure Nagy can scheme to cover up his loss but it will hurt.

I'm not convinced he's the best player on that line.

It's a good line but I don't think anybody in particular stands out. Leno has really made an impression of late. Kind of standing out by not standing out.

Long is the best player on the line but Leno and Whitehair are really close. Daniels will probably be their best OL by the end of the year though, he may already be.

Kush will have to step up. Even if the Bears dodge a bullet and this is only a 6-8 week injury. Coward is around too. Next man up. It's the NFL you don't have time to sit around and feel sorry for yourself.

When is the last time after week 6 a team has gone from first, the worst to first again?

We're in the best division in the NFC and parity has taken over.

Detroit at home is no less of a "win they need to get" than @ Buffalo. They blew their margin of error against the Dolphins and Patriots.

The next month will be huge. IF the Bears go 3-1 or better then they'll be sitting pretty.

If they got 4-1 against the division, their only loss coming against Him, then they only need to win two of their games against SF, NYG, BUF and LAR to make the playoffs. If they win three of those games + 4-1 against the division then they are almost certainly winning the north.

NYG and BUF should be wins. Buffalo is threatening with Allen at QB, but Derek Anderson/Nathan Peterman doesn't energize them the way Allen does. The Giants are dead-team-walking and I expect them to have their dead-cat bounce game sometime before December so can they complete their inexorable spiral to 2-14.

SF is tough though. Their record sucks but they play everyone hard and their coach is smart. They may not beat you but they sure can beat you up, and late in the year could be a surprise game. I think the Bears match up really well against LA but I still dont want their playoff hopes coming down to beating the Rams.

The Long injury hurts, but if resting Mack for a couple weeks gets him back to what he was.....I'll take it.

Resting Mack and winning was the biggest benefit of this game.

Packers trade away their starting safety, Lions trade away their starting WR, every other team in the division is coming off of a loss, and the Bears get to face Nathan Peterman on Sunday.

Might as well sticky this thread for at least the next couple of weeks.

Bears should at the very worst 8-4 going into the Rams game in December. I can see the Vikings being 7-4-1 and the Packers being 5-6-1.
