I'd take a change-of-scenery flyer on Dal Colle. Our fourth line is shit, I'd rather have a high-upside guy taking those minutes than someone like Martinsen, who's 28, on his third organization, and doesn't appear to be anything more than what little we've seen.

It's safe to say the Hawks of the last 4 games are the real Hawks. Shitty D and no forward depth. Not to mention special teams disasters.

Do you think the Blackhawks are especially bad when it comes to low-percentage perimeter shots, or is this another Universal Fan Lament like "the power play sucks"? I know the Hurricanes and Golden Knights are like that, but their game is just to bombard goalies with shots from all over the ice, no matter how crappy they are. The Blackhawks' maddening chest shots tend to come off the cycle, like they've taken a lot of time and space to decide that this is precisely the moment for a shot right into the logo.



One of the only things giving me hope is knowing that the roster as currently constructed cannot last the season. But there's still so much crap on the roster (and with a heavy heart I am getting ready to reclassify Hayden as crap) that I don't think we can replace all of it, just most of it, and if everyone else in the division is going to win every game, that might not be enough. I'm ready to get a full and honest look at Sikura, but I'm still worried about someone who botched his camp so bad that he lost his roster spot to all these crappy guys.
