Meh

Bigger story is Renee Young is working without her whole head covered. Progress?

Just the body is covered. I see plenty of young girls in the crowd without hijabs.

Neat

I'm going to try and catch some of this when I go to lunch in 20 minutes. I'm actually looking forward to Borck/Braun and another AJ/Joe match. I couldn't give two shits about this tournament or watching DX and the Brothers.

Cool...I'm following along on Bleacher Report as much as possible...luckily, it's kind of slow today.

That's why I still play the WWE games on PS4. It's really hard for me to watch the older guys I loved watching 20 plus years ago struggle through basic matches...

True. Tag match is fine because none of them have to go all out.

I enjoyed the New Day/Bar match. Rey/Miz was decent. Dolph/Seth was fun.

And I guess AJ/Brock 2.0 is a good enough reason to squash Braun? I read that Baron Corbin blasted him with the belt?

Yes Baron did that. 5 F5s by Brock in under 3 minutes to win.

Dolph v Miz

DX v Taker/Kane going last.

Still no propaganda that is pro-Saudi.

Shane-o-Mac just substituted himself in for Miz (ankle injury) to face Dolph.

WTF.

Whatever...I'm sure in the long run, the "world cup" has as much meaning as winning the "Greatest Royal Rumble".

Do the Saudis also get to pick the results of the matches? These events feel like some rich old wrestling fan got to dictate whatever he wanted. It would be like if Kim Il Jung got to rule the NBA for a day, and he made the 96 Bulls play the Warriors.

I just hope Owen Hart went over in his match.

Kemper Arena in Kansas City. People at the event thought it was just a part of the act since they hauled him away, and the show went on. Makes taking the Saudis money seem less cold blooded comparatively.

Was watching that at my house. Had a few friends over to split the ppv money, one dude came later cause he was working...and he was a big Owen fan (loved the whole Hart family) I remember opening the door and saying "Owen Hart is dead"

He didnt believe it until the next morning.

So, while tragic, it's an amusing little story in our group

Here is a question I've always wondered about, when he was starting to come around, was about the time I kinda knew what was going on in wrestling, so can only read stuff, how good was Magnum TA or what could he have been, reading on Wikipedia about the time of the accident was supposed to be US Champ and going to make a run for world title, just always wondered if he really could have been something.

Thanks for any info.

Magnum was great. He had it all. The look, the charisma, he could talk, he could work. It has been widely stated that he was on track to get a run at the world title. He and Flair would have had some legendary battles if he had not got hurt.

Yeah he was the next big babyface and would've had the eventual Sting spot I think. Plus him getting hurt resulted in Nikita being made a babyface for a bit, which definitely hurt his position.
