That was one of the worst episodes in quite a while.

I watched until weekend update, I will probably complete the rest at some point. I have no idea who this chinamen is, but she is not funny. Jeff Bridges would of been a better host. The Pete Davidson thing is beyond me. I think Lorne Michaels is keeping him around because of his dad dying. There is a youtube video of him saying, he bomb in his audition and they were like, you're hired. The constant insult to the right are really getting annoying, like come up with something original. I don't 100% agree with the right, but say something funny about them.

Chevy's episode on Norm Macdonald Has A Show is one of the better ones (and I don't think that show is all that great.)

Can't wait for next week with Seth Meyers and his reoccuring characters... nobody does a better John Kerry! Really?!?!?!! Ha ha ha - who are the programming wizards who came up with this one?

I’m hoping for a Stefon appearance.

Bill Hader is great.

Kate McKinnon does the same thing regardless of which male politician she is impersonating -- mugging for the camera with the same expression.

I don't know why SNL had to have Davidson essentially tell Kanye to "shut up and play music" during Weekend Update. They knew who Kanye was when they agreed to have him on the show. Nothing he said was a surprise. It's great when entertainers voice their opinions...until they voice ones that other entertainers don't agree with, then it's OK to tell someone to "Shut up and _____."

I thought that nothing is more insulting than telling actors, musicians, and athletes to shut up and stick to their craft.

Still really bad, the opening skit was contrived and overplayed. Alec Baldwin you're not making anyone laugh, please leave.

Shitting on Kayne left and right, get over it.

The more I think about it, I think Kayne just straight up trolled SNL as a point with his music performances and his obvious disdain for the broadcast. He basically shit all over them in primetime and SNL realized it so now they are just throwing everything they have to discredit him as crazy.

So yes Kanye>SNL

Don't recall the last time I watched ... I'll muddle thru Weekend Update and I'm sure it will be quite some time before checking in again. Plus, my NBC stream sucks out loud so that doesn't help matters any.

edit: I lied ... I couldn't make it thru that 'goop' bit.

These idiots hosted the emmys and wrote the emmys and won emmys for this terrible product. There is nothing remotely funny about the actors, writing or comedians. It's a mess, it's political, it's crap - regardless of your politics.

Keenan impersonating Cosby has been the only thing funny so far. I find it interesting the beau bennett is pretty damn hilarious and yet they have absolutely buried him since mid season last year. He must have voted the wrong way.

Beau doesn't fit their narrative as diverse, open minded, toxic masculinity, transgender, anti-trump, anti-kanye, anti-kavanaugh - the fact they didn't skewer Don Lemon says ALOT. It's fair game if you disagree and if you agree they welcome you with open arms.

Paul Simon couldn't even hold this show together.

It is like watching a SJW yelling into an echo chamber with this show. It really is like they have no self awareness.

Caught it for the first time since maybe the third week of last season.

Not good.

The Trump stuff is just tired.

Weekend Update was awful as usual.

I have always loved Kate McKinnon, but she and Cecily Strong (does she even get the do anything anymore?) need to move on from this shit.

The show needs an enema - flush the cast and writers, and start fresh. Keep Heidi whasshername, and Chris Redd, and the that’s it. And keep the cast below 9 maximum.

The only time I think I laughed at the entire episode was when Kanye was talking about turning the murder rate negative and digging bodies up out of the ground.

The show is worth watching when they can bring in a grade A host, like Bill Hader.

There were a couple things things that were amusing:

The IFC skit.
The testosterone supplement skit.

but none of them made me actually laugh.

The rest of was not good.

After two weeks of ragging on Kanye they are replaying the Adam Driver/Kanye West episode next week.

Paul Simon was the only thing worth watching in this shit episode.
Edit - It's Beck Bennett, and the Trees digital short was kinda funny too.
I think Cecily was only in one sketch, Kyle Mooney is still underused, and Leslie Jones needs to not be on tv anymore.

Edited again: was writing these dumb posts as I was watching, the jazz trio thing at the end with Keenan has been done before, but Keenan rulesso that was pretty funny too.

This show is best viewed through YouTube. Just go there and pick out random skits.

The past few months I've been rewatching the past 10-12 years in order on Hulu. I miss the Hader/Forte/Sudekis days.

But, watching that Trump hosted episode is interesting. Particularly the "White House in 2018" sketch. It's almost a documentary.

I would be massively disappointing to join the SNL 5 Timer's Club and think you're going to meet Steve Martin, John Goodman, Justin Timberlake, Christohper Walken, and Tom Hanks but are instead greeted by Candice Bergen and Drew Barrymore.

The little kid saying inappropriate things in the restaurant skit (I'm six!) has been funny in the past, but this time neither Hill or Leslie Jones were able to act like they've ever done this before and perform like professionals.

The "Divided We Stand" skit is essentially what SNL has been for the last two years, but I don't think they see it that way.

Real good segment tonight between Pete Davidson and Dan Crenshaw.

Didn't realize Davidson's dad was killed on 9/11.

That was a good segment.

That guy should run for President. The war hero, not Pete Davidson.

The cell phone bit was funny.

That was pretty cool of everyone to put that together. Now as awesome as that was, the gutter trash lady skit with McKinnon was stomach turning. Lil wayne also had probably the best 2 musical performances of the season.

I do enjoy the news graphic bit. It wasn't as good as the Animal Pornographer one from last year but I still thought it was funny.

Cheap laughs but I don't care.

They are starting to overdo the "Abduction" skit. It was really funny the first time or two. It's running low on gas.

That was very good. I got the impression Davidson was legit surprised they had Crenshaw's phone with with an Ariana Grande song as the ringtone. He looked shocked about either that or something else that happened.

I think that sums up most of McKinnon's peformances.
