I never said Jokic is a better defender than Embiid. He's not. But he's turned into an above average defender and Embiid isn't that much better. Embiid isn't close to guys like AD Gobert and Draymond on that side of the ball. He's good. He's not great.

As far as Jokic goes you lack credibility as you already stated that he was good when everyone knew he was horrendous and you lied/trolled about him outplaying Gasol last night. Gasol thoroughly outplayed him.

There is virtually no one that thinks he is as good as Embiid but you.


I agree with him not being as good as Gorbert but he is easily as good as Draemond Green.

I posted that after the first quarter when Jokic had already drawn two fouls on Gasol, Gasol had 0 points and 1 turnover. You are correct that after that the switch flipped and Gasol thoroughly outplayed him. It was a vintage Gasol game. Played smothering defense. Didn't know he still had that type of caliber of play in him still.

If you watched the game you saw Jokic battling with Gasol on defense, but he couldn't get anything going offensively against Gasol.

Box score hunted but the numbers were obvious. However you'd never see Embiid post such putrid numbers while playing a Full game. I like Jokic and think he might possibly be the most skilled big in the game particularly with both Gasols slowing and Cousins injured. However you vastly overrate him as a player. He isn't a dominant player nor has he ever been dominant.

He's on his way to being a dominant player. You could see the progression clearly the last few years. I think he's probably a year away from really being mentioned among the very best in the game but it's definitely coming. Good chance he leads the Nuggets to 50-55 wins this year.

something fucked up going on with Jokic and Denver. Only took 1 shot all game last night and it was the last shot of the game. Game before that he took 3 shots.

In fact, after getting 20 shots vs the Bulls his shot totals over the next 4 games are: 5, 9, 3, 1.

He is having a good run but guys like Embiid have been putting up monster numbers since they entered the league. Jokic is good to very good on a lot of nights but Embiid has been a dominant guy from the moment he entered the league. I don't even look at his numbers (career) these days. They are Hall of Fame caliber already. Right now he is the best 5 in the game. Period.

Embiid is a much better defender.

Jokic #s suggest he is Carlos Boozer with better (slightly) passing ability.
