I dont think he made the right move, but what your saying doesn't really make sense. He could have had a career ending injury on his first carry this season and only get this years money. He'll definitely get more in guaranteed money than he was slated to make for this one year.

I’m guessing whatever insurance policy he had dealing with a career ending injury on his first carry was more than what he was slated to make this year as well.

mike moustakas figured this out last year, when he declined that offer from the Royals. He lost something like $12mill. Folks, the grass is rarely ever greener.

Even if you are absolutely correct he still missed an earning year and 15M or whatever. Whatever though it is his life and he has an agent to guide him.

The signing bonus is the guaranteed money. If it's less than 30 million guaranteed (probably will be) it was a bad decision by Bell. If it's more than that it was a good decision.

There's no loophole he needs to get away from Pitt. They aren't signing him to a QB franchise tag next season.
