Smart money was Klay leaving, and resigning Durant. Now it looks like Durant doesn't want to put up with Draymond. Sure seems like team chemistry isn't too great right now.

I think Durant wants to play with LeBron. If Durant stays with the Warriors Klay won't be able to. He wants to stay in California and would be a good fit in LA.

We'll see. I believe the theory that the best players don't want to go play second fiddle to LeBron. I think Klay is one of those deals that get done at 12:01 or whatever at the beginning of free agency without him even meeting with another team.

Followed this a little bit but wasn't part of the beef between Green and Durant related to Green suggesting that Durant is trying to leave? I think that I heard that somewhere the other day. If that is it then it runs a little deeper than just arguing on the bench.

I think I heard that Green was shitty that Durant wants to leave or is talking about leaving. Something to that effect.

There is something pretty fucked up about Draymond Green. Sam "the man" Smith wrote about this a few years ago. Dates back to Michigan State even. He kept up a lot of shit around the team when he was there also. I'd hate to see if this Golden State thing goes sour. There is no way you want a guy like that around if the team isn't winning or even competitive. He is a supreme shit starter when things are going well. Imagine how he is to deal with when it goes sour.

Durant had to know what he was getting into when he signed with them. They won 2 might get 3 but that has to be a fucked dude to be around on a day to day basis.

I would love to see "top 15" Draymond Green have to be the best player on a team. Team would be lucky to win 15 games.

Draymond is the glue that holds the team together on the court. You live with dumb decisions in November because of the plays he makes in May and June. He's as indispensable to that team as Steph, KD, and Klay. Their defense would suffer immensely if you removed him from the team.

Still doesn't change the fact that he isn't a top 15 guy. The other 3 are for more indispensable.

If he ever had to be the best player on any team that team contends for the bottom 3 worst team in the league. He needs the other guys a helluva lot more than they need him.

Those 8 point 7 rebound games become a lot more glaring when there aren't 2-3 guys giving you 20-30 a game.

He would score more if he were the best guy on a team but you are correct that that team wouldn't be very good. He's definitely in the perfect spot for his skill set, but the flip side to that is he's the only one on GS who can even remotely do what he does. Durant isn't about to go bang with Stephen Adams and Rudy Gobert. The Warriors need Draymond Green if they want to win a fourth title. He was their catalyst before Durant, with Durant, and will continue to be when Durant leaves next summer.

If I had to pick only 3 of the 4, Klay's the odd man out. If you give up Draymond, you giving up a shitload of rebounds, assists, defense, and efficiency.

Durant leaves and they don't find someone that can do some of what he does they are done. He has been the biggest (in my opinion the only difference maker) of the past 2 championships.


Green Klay and Steph won't be enough.

You can find Draymond Greens a lot easier than you can find Kevin Durants

Draymond Green is the only player in the league that does what he does. You can't find a replacement for him at all.

Steph, Klay, and Draymond won a title, made it to the Finals back to back, and set the regular season wins record all without Durant. They don't need him to win a title. Durant needs them to win one.

They struggled to win one with 2 of Cleveland's top 3 were out. They don't beat Houston without Durant and they don't beat Cleveland previous year without him.


Draymond Green isn't even as valuable as Klay. His importance is helped by playing along 3 of the top 20 guys in the league..

He is nothing more than a Supporting Actor. If he has to play a starring role your movie bombs.
